I stayed in the hostel for 7 nights, in a Men's 8 bed dorm room. Only for one night the room was completely full, that means all the 8 beds occupied, otherwise most of the nights, there were only 4 persons. It is a good way to know more about persons from all parts of the world. There is a bathroom and a toilet in the room itself and since the quiet hours are from 11pm to 7am and as I had to go to one of the conference held in Chicago, I used the common bathroom on the same floor, that means 4th floor. The amenities are very good. For locker it's better if one takes ones own medium sized lock, and for charging phones and tablets, no need to buy a separate adaptor from India, as at all the plug points, USB ports are available ( it's a new thing I saw in US), hence my adaptor which I bought from India for approx 1500 rupees was of no use ). The hostel is very nice, safe and centrally located. There is direct blue line metro from La Salle metro station to Airport and vice versa charging just 3 USD.

Stayed for 2 nights. Chise this over HI Chicago Hostels in same area costing 4x. Was worried about safety first but looking at reviews went for it. So hygienic much better than low rated good star HI Chicago Hostels. All fellow room mates 5 of them were decent and had now worries. So much so I dint lock my belongings too. Upper bunks are comfortable too. Lot of activities happen including free dinner and drinks on Friday night although I dint attend it. Chose it without a doubt. A big thumbs up if you are with friends or Solo. Even if you are travelling for business you will feel good. The breakfast is good and plentiful. Short of options but good food. Metro Station is a 2 min walk.

Excellent location and facilities especially if you are travelling alone. Bunk beds are comfortable and quite clean. Shared bathrooms were also neat. Overall good experience with value for money. Would love to visit on my next single excursion to Chicago.

I chose Hostelling International on reading the excellent reviews at MakeMyTrip after I had a terrible experience with an agoda booking at Blog HI Chicago Hostel, Guangzhou last month in February which had many false claims. All claims by Hostelling International are true.
