Titanic Hotel Liverpool

The stay here was terrible. High quality fit out but poor quality service and staff. When we arrived we were asked for a swipe of our card and we gave it to the reception staff and suddenly I realised the guy had charged me and taken payment for the room, even before we checked in and saw the room and when I asked him about it he said yeah that what we do and then I asked about the normal process of charging food and drink to the room and he said yeah well you have a debit card so we dont do that, you need a credit card and we had 4 debit cards and no credit cards because we are independent financially and have no need for credit as apart from debit card. So the first time in our 53 years of age we could not charge any drinks or services to the room. And we found out as we were getting ready to go out to dinner that the shower in our room did not work on hot water, only cold and we reported it to them and they could not do anything before we left for dinner and when we arrived back at half past midnight they said we could move room to which we just wanted to go to bed. Whereas if they had asked as a precautionary measure at 8:30 given you have recently arrived please leave your bags packed and if we cannot fix your shower we would move your bags and when you arrive back, simply go to reception and they would update you. So we went to bed and the following morning we had a cold shower and given the room was paid we had no bargaining position and nothing was done, not did the Hotel care. It was the worst 175 we spent on a Hotel. Would not stay in Titanic Hotel in Liverpool or Belfast ever again.
