Best part about the Hotel Continental was it's proximity to the station. It is bang opposite the station. The staff were polite and helpful. Whilst our booking was for room only, we checked out the breakfast spread and it was good, as was the ambience of the buffet room. The room was well equipped with tv, electric kettle, hair dryer. Ironing table and iron was promptly provided on request. The safe was quite large and it worked! the bathroom was decent sized, and the shower area had a rain shower. We were initially allotted a room facing the back, which was euphemistically referred to as the "silent side. Upon request, we were given a front facing room (facing the station entrance) on the first floor and warned about street noise. Frankly, the toughened glass blocks most noise and anyway the area becomes quite peaceful after 10 pm, by when 80% of switzerland is asleep. There are good eating options in the vicinity at reasonable rates. Mcdonald's is open till 1 am. Overall we had a very comfortable stay of 3 nights.
