great location and friendly st....
hotel Hirschen is right between the rail station and the First Lift. The bus stop is just next door. The staff is very accommodating, we arrived before normal check in and they had our room ready to go. We also requested a later than normal check out and the staff was able to accommodate us so we would have somewhere to change out of our ski clothes. Parking is across the street or behind the building. the breakfast was adequate. The only toiletries provided in the room was a bar of soap and liquid soap in the shower.

An outstanding town and wonder....
My wife and another couple had three lovely nights at the Hirschen. We loved every minute. Parking right behind the hotel, breakfast was wonderful. The hotel is spotless and service is above and beyond the usual. We were in Interlaken 22 years ago and loved the area. Although we visited Interlaken for a few hours on this trip, Grindelwald is less crowed and more quaint. We loved the town and the hotel. Highly recommend both.

Awesome stay in a perfect spot....
We stayed in one of the apartments as a family of five. The apartment (which had four bedrooms though we used only three) was incredibly well-maintained and modern with an excellent view from the balcony (see photo!) We had everything we needed and the cooking facilities were comprehensive (which is very helpful considering how expensive it is to eat out in Grindelwald). The hosts were friendly and helpful (though we didn’t need anything).
I was pleasantly surprised by the cost (approx $300 AUD per night).
Definitely keen to visit again.

Nice hotel & friendly staffs
I spend a couple of days here with my family during the summer holidays.
The staffs here are friendly & the warm hospitality was exceptional! One night, my daughter's clothes were splitted by the sauce at the hotel restaurant, and Monica, the head waitress, helped her to clean the clothes immediately. This was really impressive.
The rooms were clean & has a balcony, where we can watch stars!

Great Swiss Hotel
I have stayed at this hotel in the heart of Grindelwald village many many times since my first visit in 1980. What brings me back each year is the perfect combination of location, warm friendly hospitality, cleanliness, charm and reasonable prices. This hotel is run by a very conscientious family who pride themselves on doing everything properly. The breakfast buffet in the ground floor restaurant has very good variety in a Swiss style. Cereals, fruit salad, yogurts, juices, local mountain cheeses, 5 different types of bread, cook your own boiled eggs etc etc. Even a blender to make your own smoothies from veggies etc. coffee is brought to the table. The rooms vary in size but there are some gems on the 3rd & 4th floors on the street side that offer a fabulous view of the Alps. After dinner my wife and I usually sit out on the room balcony with a glass of wine and watch the stars come out. Heaven!
(The tap water in the bathroom is the same quality as Evian - a real luxury if you travel a lot). There is a car park opposite the hotel. In summary, my home away from home, strongly recommended for a complete Swiss experience in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Enjoy!!!!
