Great, relaxing break

Just returned home from Granada Park after a week's break, and what a fantastic break it was. The hotel is lovely, no it's not the most modern, but it is well looked after, clean and well set out. We found the food to be very good, higher than the "usual" 3 star standard expected. there was always plenty to eat, a good variety and something different every day. Drinks also very good. The hotel is up a hill away from Los Cristianos and Playa De Las Americas, so be prepared to walk. There are always plenty of taxis close by and they are reasonably priced (typically 4-6 Euros each way) and there is a free bus from the hotel to the centre of Playa De Las Americas at 10.30am and returns at 5.30pm. The main thing that stood out more than anything for me, the hotel staff. Everyone from Reception, room cleaners, maintenance, restaurant and bar staff, were fantastic. Always greeted us with a smile and hello, and nothing was too much trouble for them, if we needed anything, everyone was happy to help. Trying to think of anything negative to write, however, there honestly is nothing. Miss the place loads, met and exceeded all of our expectations and we have already booked to return next year. If you are looking for a comfortable, quiet and well run hotel to relax and enjoy a break in Tenerife, I would highly recommend Granada Park

Okay for low budget but refurb....

Not bad it’s a bit out in the sticks no local Bigger supermarket and everything is a taxi ride away all the time Food is very repetitive but edible Restaurant could do with updating tables and chairs could do with new ones Outside entertainment and on a few nights it was chilly so we got the blankets out of our rooms to wrap round us They try but it’s in desperate need of a update and refurb Rooms are nice enough beds a bit hard but you can deal with that Safe a bit expensive but it’s ok it’s defo do-able but not for me and my family as the pool was being refurbished and we wasn’t told before hand so we asked on the beach to move us who helped a great deal we was moved the next day

Granada Park

I don't understand all these negative reviews! Yes the food is not incredible but there is always something to eat, it is a 3* after all so if you are expecting more stay at a 5*!! All the staff were exceptionally friendly and really made us feel welcome, there was always someone on hand to talk to our children. I would like to thank Nava that works the bar and restaurant because he truly made our holiday! Such a happy and smiley guy, our 2 year old took a real shine to him and has not stopped saying 'Narna' since returning home. He deserves a promotion!! Any repairs that needed doing was carried out within ten minutes or less and the receptionists were always on hand for anything we needed whether it be towels or advice on where things was in town. I was less than impressed with the Tui rep who we didn't see until about a week into our 2 week holiday, I had to ask the jet2 rep could she help find us a doctor for out 2 poorly babies. When we did see our Tui rep she was very sheepish and had the audacity to say at least their illnesses wasnt worse!! My son nearly ended up in hospital....No thanks to you! The rooms are very big, there was 6 of us and we had booked two rooms but used only one the majority of the time as it fit all of us and our 6 cases and double pram very comfortably. The balcony was also very large and looked out onto the beautiful hotel and pool. Every morning we saw so many staff cleaning, all very smiley and extremely hard working. They had their work cut out for them but always managed to make the place immaculate. The room cleaners always did an ecceptional job of keeping our room very clean. Miguel is the man for keeping children entertained and works bloody hard day & night to ensure the children are happy, he leads the dancing at night like it's the first time he's ever done it, so much enthusiasm and obvious love for his job, thank you Miguel for making my girls holidays something to remember!! It is quite a steep hill the hotel is on so most walks out we got a taxi back, at €5 for most taxis you can't complain! Tenerife is a beautiful place and Granada Park is perfect and incredible value for money! Don't let the bad reviews from a handful of people deter you. Thank you everyone at Granada Park!!!

Basic, Too Far From Everything

Very nice little Apartment block. Well set out and clean. Apartments were basic but spacious and had huge balcony over looking the pool area. There were 2 adult pools and one childrens pool. Sounds idyllic which is why we booked this Hotel last year (a year ahead of our visit this year). Unfortunately we were informed went we went to pay our balance that there would be work being carried out on the pools. We were not given an option to change our booking so were not best pleased when we arrived to find there was a lot of work going on in the pool area. The drilling/noise and smell of paint and chemicals was dreadful. Aside from this the food was cooked fresh in front of us but was the same sort of thing each day. This was not a huge problem as it was very edible and we know All Inclusive is basically salad chips and meats. There was a very good range of drinks too. Staff were all friendly hardworking and ready have a joke with us. No complaints whatsoever there. We did have an issue with the Brochure as it was obvious that nobody from TUI had actually checked out the location. The Brochure clearly states that Bars, Restaurants, Beach, Shops are all within a short 10 minute stroll away. Even Siam Park was recorded as being a 10 minute walk away. This is simply not true. Los Christianos is a 10 minute Hike up and down hills and across building sites to the BIG Supermarket. Then to go further towards the beach/shops restaurants etc is a further 25/30 minutes. We are fit and healthy and always walk at a good pace so this would be much longer for the less abled or people with children. Going towards Las Americas is more or less the same distance timings as for Los Christianos but you don't have to walk over the building site so is a slightly nicer walk on pavements. It still takes at least 25/30 minutes to walk to nearest shops bars etc going at a brisk pace. Siam Park is more or less 10 minutes away but certainly not walking it. I would say 5 to 10 minutes in a taxi. Taxis are quite good at around 5 to 7 euros per journey. There is a free bus from the Hotel down to the beach etc which runs from the Hotel at 10:30am and 11:30am and there is one return journey at 5:30pm. Needless to say it was only good if you wanted to stay out all day. Normally the weather is fantastic in Tenerife but they have been getting some unusual weather over the last few weeks which meant out of our 7 days stay we only got abut 2 1/2 days sun. The rest was cloud and as there was limited pool usage we had to go out of the Hotel and WALK rather a lot as there was nothing to do nearby. When we go All Inclusive we dont normally take too much money with us as we have already paid for food and drink. We did however rather overspend on this holiday getting out and about. Nice Hotel but we won't be returning.

Is there a word less than basi....

As I write this review I am sitting eating my last crap dinner of the 12 nights I have been here. Myself and my friend come for my birthday and come all inclusive. Yes it has saved us money in a way but we have also spent enough to get out of the hotel! The food is so basic it’s ridiculous. They advertise dinner finishes 9.30pm yet they are removing covers/ turning the heaters of at 8.45pm. The food is always so salty or dry, the lettuce withered as if it’s been left for hours. Our room is ok we had a premium plus which meant we had a rooftop which we only used once. The pool is shut with one being open. Whilst the work is being done the noise and smell from the chemicals being used is awful to the point we have got up and left on many occasions. Now when it’s comes to staff the friendliest people I have met are the 3 barmen and the receptionists. We had an altercation with one of the waitresses who was beyond rude and we made an official complaint to which the manager spoke to us and treated us like he was the head teacher and kept repeating they are a 3 star hotel which I am fully aware of with the quality of food etc. My biggest issue is that until our complaint was raised there were no signs stating we were being recorded by CCTV in any part of the hotel which is a legal obligation and now there has been several signs appear! Funny that. Due to being up a hill the cloud was constant and the best place for sunbathing was at the beach. Nava who works in the bar and restaurant was the friendliest and most helpful person on our whole trip and deserves the recognition. Miguel who conducts the children’s club etc is the only rep and works so hard to entertain but he needs more support to make this a family hotel! But him in himself was very pleasant! Other than meeting other families and making friends the hotel experience has been rubbish! It’s just fortunate we know how to have a good time outside of the hotel! I would not recommend any one to stay here unless you love the basic of all inclusive and cold food!
