Horrible ex

Whenever we greet a guest especially one from abroad we need to serve something from our heart rather than copybook professionalism. When we reached Durban Station by bus from Johannesburg it was 8 pm, nearly 3 hours late of schedule due to heavy rain. No cab was in view. We called up the hotel which was only less than 2 kilometres and mentioned my age and physical disability but they straightaway denied any help. Somehow we caught a cab with little help from local security staff and reached the hotel paying R100 whereas the usual rate is less than R30. Our room was at extreme end. Drinking water bottles were only to purchase, no free service. Room door was half jammed and required quite some power to operate. Wifi service was terrible and mostly we had to go down the lobby to communicate. As there was rain water was leaking from everywhere and the whole flooring was wet. Our breakfast was booked with room but it was apparent that we would be served free only worth R95 per head, any amount more to be paid. Never seen anything like this. However front desk was helpful in all other matters. Location of the hotel is great.
