Overall Rating: 2/5 Stars - Great Food, Terrible Comfort
My recent stay at waterfront hotel Cebu left me with deeply mixed feelings, largely due to one significant, inescapable flaw: the air conditioning. While the resort clearly has some excellent culinary offerings and a decent gaming floor, the inability to control the room temperature severely detracted from the entire experience.
The most frustrating aspect of the stay was, without question, the air conditioning system. It was shockingly ineffective, bordering on non-functional. The unit struggled to cool the room below a stuffy, uncomfortable temperature, even with external temperatures being mild. Trying to sleep in a warm, humid room made every night a battle, turning what should have been a relaxing vacation into a constant source of discomfort. For a hotel of this size and supposed caliber, this level of temperature control is unacceptable and made the room and the entire property feel miserable.
On a much brighter note, the food was excellent. The quality of ingredients, preparation, and service in the dining areas were truly top-notch and stand out as the undisputed highlight of the visit.
The casino floor was decidedly average. It was clean and the staff were friendly, but it lacked any real atmosphere or buzz that you find at truly great gaming establishments. All the standard games were available, and the machines were functional, but it didn't offer anything unique or exciting enough to warrant spending a long time there. It served its purpose, but nothing more.
In summary, the hotel delivers on flavor but fails dramatically on fundamental comfort. Until the air conditioning issues are addressed, I cannot recommend staying here, regardless of how good the kitchen is.
