We stayed at julia's river camp for 2 nights. Here are the points which i did like and dislike about this camp i liked the following: 1) location: the camp is located inside the masai maria national park. Tents are pitched just few meters from the tale k river. It creates an awesome ambience and wildest feeling when we saw crocodiles and hippos in the tale k river sitting at our tent. Its truly magical. At night, hippos used to come out of the river and walk beside our tent with their heavy footsteps. It was extremely thrilling experience. In one word, its a proper jungle camp to get the feel of wildest africa. 2) riverside bush breakfast & lunch: we requested for bush breakfast and lunch sitting just at the side of tale k river. They happily arranged everything for us. 3)staffs: very polite and extremely courtaceus staffs made our stay memorable. We greatly enjoyed the afternoon nature walk with one of them. I disliked the following: 1) tents without any plug points : none of the living tents of this camp has any plug point. Plug point is only available at the main mess tent. 2) food: very very limited variety of meals and taste was not upto the mark at all. During our stay, the only available non-veg main course option in dinner was beef curry. No alternatives like chicken, pork, mutton or fish was there. As, we don't take beef, we have faced serious problem.
