Mövenpick Resort Petra

Mövenpick Petra was hands down the best place we stayed during our entire trip to Jordan — for several key reasons: 1).Location, location, location! You truly can’t beat it. The Movenpick Resort Petra is directly across from the main entrance to Petra, including the ticket office, making it the most convenient place to stay if you're visiting the site. 2).The Movenpick Resort Petra itself is beautiful. While the rooms were slightly dated, our balcony had a great view of Petra’s entrance, which was a nice bonus. The lobby, restaurants, and cafés were all lovely and well-maintained, creating a charming and welcoming atmosphere. 3).Delicious food. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent, with a wide variety of international dishes. Every meal felt like a treat. 4).Exceptional service. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. A special shout-out to the reception team at checkout — they went above and beyond for us when we misjudged how long it would take to hike to the Monastery and back. Their understanding and helpfulness were beyond anything we’ve experienced, especially compared to what we might expect back home in the U.S. The hospitality we received at Mövenpick Petra, and in Jordan as a whole, was unforgettable. The staff truly made us feel welcomed and cared for, and they’re a big reason we’re already talking about coming back!

Excellent Hotel. Best location for Petra.. The Staff was extremely good and efficient. They upgraded us too which was nice. The Breakfast was awesome. This Hotel is highly recommended the best choice for Petra.

On arrival, we were upgraded to a suite for no extra cost. The staff at the front desk were very polite and friendly. The room was amazing. The Movenpick Resort Petra itself is just 50 metres from the visitor center. Also they arranged a taxi for me to the Amman airport at a very low rate. Room service can be improved. The breakfast spread is good but the taste needs to be improved.

Air conditioning was not working properly.
