Beautiful hotel!

This was an amazing property in an amazingly beautiful location. The decor is superb. We heard the owner is an interior designer, and it shows. The details are what counts here. Breakfast is served on a superb terrace that overlooks the bay. Gorgeous! There is a great variety as well, with egg and pancake dishes made to order. All top notch quality ingredients. Breakfast is served until 10:30. I stayed in the Studio. Great room, but from what I can tell from the pictures, the most limited view room. There was a small balcony that one person can hardly fit on, and a bay window. If you want a view room, don’t choose the “Studio”. Although, it was the most private and secluded room in the property, which was nice. The hotel is located about a ten minute walk from the edge of town (uphill if you are going from the town to the hotel), and it’s about another ten minutes to get to the center of town. Not a deal breaker, but this could be a challenge if you have someone in your party who has trouble walking. La Minervetta’s staff (with a special shout out to Paolo!) do everything they can to ensure you have an amazing stay. There is a private stairway down to Marina Grande, but keep in mind it’s 300 stairs. We used it once, but decided to not use it again. There is a small pool, but we did not use it. Overall, would definitely stay here again!

Amazing - view, room, staff al....

Spent 3 nights in a "superior double" room. It was a corner room and afforded amazing views of the Bay of Naples and Sorrento. The room was large and beautifully furnished. The staff was friendly and helpful, even to the point of making dinner reservations and arranging day excursions. This was absolutely perfect - one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. Breakfast was excellent. It should be noted that it's a 20-30 minute walk (or 20 euro taxi ride) to town. There's an excellent restaurant at water's edge at the base of the cliff and that's a 300 step trip down and back up after your meal. Restaurant is the Ristorante Delfino and is so good we made the climb twice.

Even better the second time.......

Do you know how sometimes, you love a place so much, and it grows in your memory, so that when you return you experience disappointment. We loved Minervetta so much on our first visit in 2013 that we were worried we were expecting too much on our return. Within minutes of our arrival, we realized there would be no such disappointment. We enjoyed this exquisite gem of a hotel even more the second time! The setting is unmatched, the stylish decor unique (and personal), the breakfast and snacks excellent, and the staff is so welcoming. We resolved immediately that we will need to return for further visits. We miss it already!

One of the most unique, impressive and wonderful stays in my travels. The owners creativity and appreciation of quirky, stylish and intriguing art and furnishings keeps you entertained in every room, hallway and during the 300 step walkway to the water... which is a very exclusive feature of this hotel!! Wonderful breakfast w made to order eggs or pancakes, with delicious fresh fruits & torts, etc... location is perfect to drive the coast, or enjoy beautiful Sorrento.

Lovely time at this hotel. Gorgeous property. Beautiful touches. Pros: decor, room (we had basic room), views from the hotel, breakfast was delicious- EVERYTHING!, there was an afternoon snack which was also great!, location was easy walking distance to town, I appreciated it being a ten minute walk into town, pool chairs were comfy Cons: no gym- that would have just been icing on the cake, pool was freezing (it’s early in the season so I can’t blame them for this) pool lounge area gets sun until about 3- then you have to either go up to lobby area or head down to beach. Also not a big deal as me and my husband are up early and we did some touring later in the day. Overall I am so glad we chose this hotel in sorrento over staying in positano. Sorrento is a little more laid back and easier to access. I really wouldn’t have changed a thing. The hotel is worth the hype!thanks for a great stay!
