Very good, typical Italian hotel with excellent food. Good starting point for excursions in the Basilicata, northern Calabria and the nearby Apulia. the staff is always friendly and helpful. We will be back.

The best thing about this hotel is the people who run it. I was the only guest in the hotel (it holds up to 700 guests) and the men running the place went out of their way to help me and make sure I had a good time. They invited me to lunch with them, loaned me a bicycle to reach the ruins and made sure I caught the correct bus to Matera. The 4 star facilities are impressive and include well maintained gardens, swimming pools, reception halls and a tennis court. My room was large and well equipped though the furnishings were more functional than luxurious. The shower is over the bath, which may not suit some people and the airconditioner was noisy. Free wifi is available at reception.

Not organised poor food
We took a holiday as a family here as the reviewes were very good !! Checked in with dinner which we were looking forward to some good Italian food , what a disappointment, we were sat like (boarding school ) and when you go to help your self on the salad or food you look people touching food with hands ,, we were turnt off ,next morning went for breakfast and for my 7 year and 4 year kids was only 3 types of yoghurt and scrabble eggs also bacon half cooked and cold , thus went on for 6 mornings , we went out of the hotel to eat couple of times as the flood was didsaponted I can carry on with food and you go all inclusive the only think inclusive is food water and cheap wine in the restaurant , out of there you pAy €3 a bottle of water and you can imagine the rest , beach was 20 minutes walking and if you want to go early to the pool you are not about before 9.30 am ,,If the offer me a free trip I want stay here again ,, saying that Italian families liked here , and depend whAt you expect from a holiday . Cheers

We stayed at Magna Grecia for a night to visit the Archeological Site & Museum in Metapontum. I had accidentally booked the wrong date & so we turned up a month early but despite this and despite it being the very low season the staff did everything possible to take care of us, even personally driving us to the train station on our departure & making sure we had everything we needed whilst there. This was a lovely show of hospitality & kindness that is nice to find when you've been on the road for a while. Thank you

Amazing Party at Magna Grecia
We got married at Magna Grecia and we would strongly reccomend for who would share one of the biggest life's event in a very beautiful and confortable place with fantastic and very kind staff.
All our guests coming from around the world, they were astonished and excited from all the wonderful details that they offered us.
