Plaka Hotel

The hotel was very good located at a very good place . The view from the top floor restaurant was very good of the acropolis, breakfast was excellent.

Property’s location is excellent. Just in the main plaka market, but the amenities and services provided by hotel are average.

We were looking for a centrally located plaka hotel with acropolis within walking distance. We were not disappointed. Amazing location. It was winters and hence not many people at the rooftop restaurant but the night view was great !

The location is extremely good. Easy to get by in centre. Good b’fast. All conveniences are nearby including bus train metro. Getting to airport can take up to one hour

The plaka hotel is in a great location very close to monastiraki & syntagma square and so makes it convenient to see all the important historical locations nearby by walk. The staff was very polite, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well-maintained with a beautiful view of the bustling street below. The rooftop restaurant with the view of a lighted acropolis in the night makes for a great date place )

A very good Hotel steps away from the main area

First advantage is that it is near syntagma square and hence you can take bus to Airport etc. Next is it's location. It is best to spend your last day in athens if you want to go for shopping. It is also near to historical places.

This hotel has very good staff and great hospitality. Rooftop of the hotel is having stunning views. And the hotel is very close to the acropolis hill and museum and various shops and supermarket and café are very close! People cannot get bored here

Hotel Plaka is located in a very good location very close to Syntagma square. The tourist area, restaurants and cafes and the shopping district is within walking distance. The breakfast spread is appropriate and the staff is very helpful. The only drawback would be the lack of a hot water kettle in the room

Located in Plaka, the hotel is a good option for tourists who are looking for great food and good shopping. It is walking distance to the Acropolis museum, Acropolis, Temple of Zeus and Syntagma Square. The staff is warm and helpful. Great spread of breakfast makes a good start for the day.

Good hotel and at an amazing location. But the room given to us was very small and was in a weird shape, not the regular rectangular shape. The best part was its proximity to acropolis and the traditional Greek streets full of eating and shopping options. The complimentary breakfast offered was the best and apart from this free chocolate was available till evening. The view of the acropolis from the terrace is just breathtaking!! We couldn't enjoy the view in the eve much as it was very cold and windy. In summers the bar is setup on the terrace. Overall great experience, would definitely recommend this place and would love stay here in our next visit..

It's a great location in the center of the city and almost 80% of the tourist attractions are at a walk-able distance. The hotel as a excellent roof top bar overseeing the acropolis. Its wonderful to go there and sit at night. Some rooms also are acropolis facing you can ask or them at the time of booking. The buffet lay is excellent and sufficient items are available for vegetarian food. They also have complementary tea, coffee and biscuits till five in the evening so if you wanna take a short break from your sightseeing you can come the hotel have a tea or coffee with biscuits and carry on. In the morning during buffet breakfast they have a hotel guide who will guide you how to plan your day and what you should see and how should you go about depending on the number of days you have. The have a luggage storage so after check out you can leave your luggage and move around. Very well connected and walking distance to bus and tram stops. In short a excellent hotel in the center of the city with good value for the money and very tourist friendly too.

The hotel is best located, has a roof bar, excellent breakfast spread. But they didn't provide even 1 bottle of water, which normally all hotels have a policy to provide atleast 1 bottle and subsequent on the next day when room cleaning is done. When asked, they said it's rechargeable and if required we can drink tap water. Also, they didn't give a tea or coffee maker in the room, when asked, they said it's chargeable again. That too, is not a good policy. Almost all hotels today provide tea or coffee maker. At least I would expect from a hotel like Plaka to provide it.

The location is the best part. Rooms and toilets are very small. But the terrace with the night view of Acropolis hill and Parthenon is fantastic. Cosy place in all and personalised atmospherics. Affordable rates in off season. Wish the toilet and room size was little less cramped - at least in the standard room.

Great location. Walking distance from many landmarks. Neat but rather small rooms. No coffee and tea maker in room. Lifts are old models. Quite knowledgeable and helpful staffs, gave good directions about locations and general idea of places of tourist interest.

The location of Plaka is excellent and the all Its moneys worth because of the roof top view of the Acropolis. Hospitality is average to poor as I found the people at the reception very indifferent. The room and the bathroom are small. The breakfast spread is good. If you want to stay there it is only because of the view from the room top.

Location is the key here. Bang in the middle of the city, totally close to all the key happening places. Please be aware that there is no restaurant and room service. But then there are about a hundred eateries right outside the hotel in about 100 meters. Pretty convenient.

The hotel is very conveniently located in the Plaka area. It has lots of delightful restaurants and shops in many by lanes around the hotel. This is a clean, hygienic compact hotel. The breakfast lounge is spacious and cheerful. The service is great. It is value for money all the way. All in all, a great place to stay in Athens.
