Nice, clean, modern
Likely the nicest hotel out of three I stayed at on a one week business trip. Nice and clean. A bit more chic than I prefer. Complementary mini bar in my room was nice. The bars and restaurants were nice. Staff was friendly

Dormero, Stuttgart. Please he....
This February was my second stay at Stuttgart's Doemero Hotel. My first experience was several months earlier. Each stay was for approximately 10 days, and each experience was very similar. I am sad to say that this establishment has so much potential, but can't seem to address continual issues. The biggest issue; climate control in the room. There is a dial to +/- 2 or 3 degrees the temperature in room, but it appears to do absolutely nothing at all... I truly mean nothing. This is two different rooms, different floors, and several (~4) months apart. In the end I believe the controls are not even connected. I could do nothing at all to make the room cooler, even in the winter, except to keep the window open 24/7. This then generated issues with particulate/dust. With the window closed, the room was easily 80 degrees Fahrenheit. With the window constantly open, it maybe went down to 75 degrees Fahrenheit. It was crazy hot no matter what. Second big issue; beds are extremely soft. If you like a medium or hard bed, your sleep will severely be hampered here. I have stayed in numerous hotels, and I can honestly say the bed was the same on each stay, and also the softest bed I have ever experienced anywhere. One other issue... The pizza restaurant within. Both times the service was extremely slow, and both times I watched persons walk out due to the wait. Additionally, on both occasions my order was not filled accurately. I also tried there tapas restaurant this stay. I watched as my food was microwaved. Ugh. On the plus side, the Dormero does have an excellent breakfast buffet, but the options for the buffet never change. It also has a convenient location and the staff is generally pleasant and nice. The rooms are also kept clean and one can have one free drink from the mini bar per day. This could be a great place if they could just fix a few items.

Excellent Excellent Excellent ....
This is how a hotel should be. Modern, stylish, spacious, clean, well equipped, great location, Minibar with free drinks everyday resupplied, TV with huge variety of channels (even cable). Restaurants, cafes, bars, Casino, meeting halls and one of the greatest Spa, Therme in Germany right at your feet. All within the building. You don't need to get out!
This is a great place to stay in Stuttgart for business purposes or for a quick vacation.
The spa is a must which you have to visit. The best thing to relax after a hard day of meetings.
Food is excellent. Great Breakfast in the morning with a wide international variety of foods and many German delicacies. At this main food hall, were the breakfast is served, you can also enjoy Burgers, of a high quality, at the evening and at night this hall becomes a bar. And this is only one of the restaurants available, you can choose from. A Italian restaurant, Spanish tapas, Irish pub, grill and Viennese cafe are around. And all these within the hotel building. Next to the road are more restaurants / cafes located along with the several theaters available.
People are gentle, helpful and everyone is speaking English (except of one waitress at the Italian which seemed anyway frustrated probably due to lack of experience).
The only thing I missed was a balcony at the room. Or windows which opens (at a higher place of the room) as I understand that the glass walls (tall windows) would add some lack of security if there could be opened.
I definitely recommend this hotel !

A mixed bag
This is an older hotel that has been quite successfully updated. We had a junior suite, which was large and have great views as the hotel is a tower block. The air-con only just managed to cope with the sun streaming in on both sides of the room and being a tower block, there were no windows to open. However, there were nice touches in the room: USB charging sockets, coloured mood lighting.
What let the hotel down totally was breakfast.
Although there is a lovely light and airy restaurant in the hotels atrium, the breakfast is served in the the bar where there are hardly any windows and rather trashy furniture with sticky beer tables and floors. You can smell the alcohol, there is no fresh air, there are not enough seats and the whole atmosphere was wrong.
As if to rub it in, one has to walk through the lovely empty restaurant on the way in and out.
