Good Hotel, Great Location.
The hotel is located at walking distance to the city center (5 minutes walk to the Bismarckplatz, 15-20 minutes walk to the Market Square / Church of the Holy Spirit).
An advantage of the hotel is their underground car park (€ 17 per day).
We already stayed at this hotel eight years ago and also because of the location and car park, we decided to return.
The rooms are very comfortable and have a private bathroom, seating area/working desk, free wifi, climate control, TV, safe and minibar.
The value for money was (in our case) excellent.
Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Although not everyting in the room was perfect and/or perfectly working, I rated the hotel as excellent because of the location, facilities and value for money.

Good base to visit Heidelberg
This nice hotel offers spacious and clean rooms containing all modern comfort. The room amenities include a flat screen TV, air conditioning and coffee and tea making facilities. The rooms are sounded-proof and the excellent beds guarantee a good night’s rest. A free, but slow WiFi-connection is available as well. The breakfast buffet is of a good quality and the friendly staff are always ready to help their guests. Finally, rooms on the higher floors offer beautiful views over Heidelberg and the Neckar.
Thanks to its central location, the Leonardo Hotel Heidelberg City Center provides a good base for visiting Heidelberg. This hotel is located in the Bergheim district, near the Bismarckplatz. As a result, both the train station (1 km) and the old city (700 meters) are within walking distance. But if these distances seem insurmountable, one can easily make use of the public transport. A bus and tram stop is namely located near the hotel (stop Altes Hallenbad) and its use is free of charge for holders of the handy Heidelberg Card. The location outside the pedestrian zone makes the hotel also easily accessible by car. A spacious underground public car park is located immediately next to the hotel (at an additional rate of 17 euros per day). On Sundays, the car can easily be parked for free along the road.

The hotel staff was very helpful and accomodating as the airline had lost my luggage. They were helpful in getting me the basics "so I could survive", guiding me to the nearest department store to buy some clothes, and keeping an eye out for my luggage to arrive. The staff was very friendly, and helped to make a less than ideal situation manageable.

Not bad hotel close to old tow....
Had a very bad experience trying to book this hotel online. After several tries on their website (it kept changing the date on me) and on 3 different computers, including my Iphone, I called the hotel and was told I couldn't be helped, call back in the AM. Fair enough! I called in the morning (Germany time) and was told again I couldn't be helped, call back the next day. This went on for 3 more times (I had to call the hotel 4 times and still could not get help booking). I emailed the hotel instead, eventually got it sorted out by Melanie Gass (thank you Melanie) who honoured the price on their website (they continually wanted to charge me more than what their own website said). We had a rental car and the hotel has its own parking underground.
Hotel was pretty nice, cute, small bar and a breakfast room. Don't know about food other than breakfast as I didn't eat in the hotel. Our room was clean and large, street facing (#907) with a beautiful view of the Neckar River and the castle. Room was quiet. Although I did have an allergic reaction to the bedding and was up all night (I'll assume its the chemicals they use) and had to find a drugstore for antihistamines. My husband said the bed & bedding was fine & comfortable. The room did not have heat and it was a bit cold and damp (the weather was aweful at the time) in the room. We heard other guests at breakfast complain of the same thing. The Reception desk personnel was not the sharpest and wasn't very helpful.
Price for the what you get I think was expensive $124 euros (and that was a deal I had to argue for). Not sure if I'd stay there again. There are many other hotels to choose from.
You could walk into the Alstadt (old town), castle, Neckar, etc. good location and plenty of restaurants to choose from. You're not far from the train station either (about 20 min walk).

Clean hotel, very near to the ....
We stayed here when I was on business. Though check in time mentioned on booking was 3pm, I was allowed to check in even though I arrived at 10am...I was very pleased. Though my room was facing road, it was very quiet. The room was clean and well maintained. Very near to city centre and well connected with tram & bus stops right across. Breakfast was good too. The only down side was that our room was on 1st floor just above the main entrance and one big flood light placed facing upward above the entrance was little irritant in the evening as well as night time.
