New compact hotel - good facilities

It’s located in prime business area. Staff was good and cleanliness up to mark. Food options were limited for vegetarian but overall it was good stay. Only thing which will mark them negative is they shifted us to a lower standard Hotel Selton (rather a guest house kind) inspecte of our confirmed booking for the first night. How can they behave like this when a guest is holding a confirmed booking?
