the location was perfect, right next to the St Baafs cathedral, which meant walking distance from all the attractions, restaurants, main market, etc. the amenities and quality in the room was not up to mark and was more like a two star hotel. they did not give a kettle, tea/coffee, the glasses in the bathroom were paper cups. I found this quite appalling for an ibis hotel chain. breakfast was a good spread considering the variety you get in Europe. they had scrambled and boiled eggs, bacon/sausage, beans, multiple granola and cereals, pancakes, breads, etc.
