A great hotel in Republic Squa....

It's a nice building. The room and toilet was huge. The hotel rooms are slowly being refurbished. Mine was a per-refurbished one but I was still very happy with it. The hotel is in the lovely Republic Square which makes it handy as there is a nightly fountain show which begins after 8pm till midnight. It's within walking distance to quite a number of tourist attractions. The lady manning the gift shop was super. I arrived after Nikol Pashinyan had been formally elected as prime minister. I wanted a Pashinyan T-shirts his supporters had worn during the protests as a souvenir but couldn't find it anywhere. She made a couple of phonecalls to her friends and managed to located one in my size and preferred colour. However, I did pay way above the recommended retail stipulated by Pashinyan. Overall, a nice hotel with a great location in a lovely city. Definitely recommend it.

Marriott Armenia

Great Hotel, service and food and transportation. Every staff is here to serve you with an open heart Stayed at the 7th floor. The Elite lounge is calm and causy .... My only dissatisfaction is the small room, otherwise everything is great at this hotel.

Fresh paint & carpet was just ....

The hotel is undergoing a much needed renovation; not sure what % is finished but the 4th floor has been nicely 'spruced'. I have stayed many a night at this hotel and it was getting very dingy with the old carpet and curtains; they have been replaced by fresh paint and carpet and even more modern drapes. My room faced the courtyard (the pool actually) and I recommend such a room if you are sensitive to noise; facing the square can be loud as Armenian drivers like to drive with their horns. The only mistake I can see with the renovation is the choice of carpet color; the light brown already shows dirt and spots. The Executive Lounge is much brighter and spacious.

Just the best place to stay

We have just returned from a 10 night stay and it couldn't have been better. Room was excellent....well what do I need to say about Marriott standards? Staff great, food excellent. Position on Republic Square, in one of the outstanding buildings just couldn't be better for seeing the sights. Facing the National Gallery with its fountain light show every night and a 5 minute walk from the famous Northern Ave, it is really where you want to be.

Super friendly staff; car tran....

I stayed in the older part of the hotel, so the room was quite large thought a little bit dated (but charming!). All the staff were super polite and friendly, very helpful and willing to share information and tips. I did find that the front desk staff were not so efficient. I would have to return to the desk multiple times and wait each time for the same issue because the first time things were not actually resolved. For instance, when I checked out it seemed completed it was not and I had to return and wait (for someone to quickly type something on the computer - not even for me to do or sign anything) or the car pick up seemed ready but in both cases more paperwork had to be done just as I was heading out the door. I don’t know if all three people were new? Additionally, I might have to recommend they work with better airport transfer car services. Right now I am in a taxi where it’s hot and raining and despite me requesting the windows be rolled up and air turned on so I didn’t have to be rained on the driver insists on keeping them down and keeping the air off, which is not particularly good customer service...
