We stayed at Summit Namnang from July 17th to 20th and had a pleasant stay overall, largely thanks to the wonderful staff.
Despite emailing the hotel in advance to request rooms on a higher floor with a view, we were given Rooms 207 and 208 — located on the first floor with a partial view, but quite noisy due to the water motors/pumps in the building behind and the hotel’s own traffic and activity. To be fair, the hotel did offer to change our rooms the next day, but we declined as it didn’t make sense mid-stay.
The staff is truly the saving grace of this property. A heartfelt thank you to Piyush, Sarmita, Bimla, and Chef Chandraprakash for taking such good care of us — courteous, helpful, and always attentive.
That said, the overall maintenance of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. We encountered dirty linen multiple times, including towels, bedsheets, and especially the throw and decorative cushion, which were shockingly filthy. The restaurant setup is visibly tired, with chipped, stained crockery and a generally worn-out ambiance.
I truly hope the management steps up, because the staff deserves to be supported with better infrastructure. At the moment, it seems the owners are cutting corners, which reflects poorly on the Summit brand.
