We had to struggle for heating, maintenance could have been better, house keeping person was only one giving his best, what was shown while booking and room we got were different.

Houseboat experience
familyLocation was nice, houseboat experience was good, but there was power cut early morning and no back-up for fan, parking was not safe though Owner was very cooperative and welcoming. Food was okay, we didn’t like chicken curry though dal fry and aloo mutter was good….

You have done booking from 2 names and we have a group of houseboats, then your first booking was confirmed for 2 nights in 1 boat and for other 2 nights were in another boat. If you would have done the booking on the same name,then you could have been in kept in the same boat, Thank you
Terrible Stay
We were forced to stay in other houseboat ( shahi parie) in place of our booked houseboat ( new peony) so i have decided not to check-in in alternate houseboat. He has rented out our booked house boat to other customer on very higher price than we have no option other than to take instantly another hotel so we have take another hotel on very higher price. He has not refunded our booking amount. Who is responsible for this?

Greetings from New Peony Group Of Houseboats. With due respect we would like to tell you that we have 7 Housebaots which are on different locations in Nigeen Lake. And our each boat has a licience and then we are suppose to keep the board on the houseboat.Your request was that you wanted to have a boat having way my walk also,but the boat that was given to you had also the same but the water level of on that time was high that’s way you were not allowed to go by walk.And the reason of your check-out was that you had food-poisoning due to the food you had taken while coming to the houseboat. My staff and I personally taken you to the hospital. Then you told that i will book the hotel by myself and then i also dropped you at the hotel where you checked-in and i am also having photo of the prescription of the hospital. I also promised you that i will refund you the payment of 1 night, as you had booked for 2 nights. Then how can we refund the amount And after your booking we got the payment after 4 days But you had already given the review. Thank You
Great view
groupConsidering a stay in a houseboat, it was great in terms of the fact that it was accessible by land (no shikara needed for transport, neat and clean with a great view. Bathrooms were decent by houseboat standards- plenty of hot water. Bath towels could have been cleaner. However when the second houseboat was shared with another family, they were very inconsiderate and very noisy. Recommend not sharing houseboats with other families to enjoy the peace and view

Stayed at a house boat
Peaceful stay away from busy touristy areas. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Food was good. Bathrooms were clean. Hot water provided only in the morning. Otherwise great service.

groupRooms ok. Bathrooms ok, except no toilet showers and a shortage of hooks for clothes. Round the clock hot water in the bathroom made the stay comfortable. Room heating through hot water bottles. Food was good. Location is good.

Best and underrated boathouse in srinagar
This hotel is one of the best place to stay just in front of nigiene lake, hotel owner is too kind and friendly person. He takes care of his guests very well no matter who we are, we will definitely come back to this place during our next trip to kashmir.

Beautiful location
Underrated place....highly recommend to visit this houseboat at Nagin Lake. The houseboat owner takes care of you as family. Very professional, warm and nice people to speak with. One of our best stays in Kashmir. Thank you for making it memorable 💓

The stay was exquisite and far exceeded my expectations. It was clean and hygienic. The hosts were really good and cooperative. The stay is also close to hazratbal dargah and gives a quiet and serene view of the lake

The best stay
The stay exceeded my expectations. The room i stayed in was huge and spacious. Everything was clean and hygienic. The view from the houseboat is spectacular and the hosts are also good.

Perfect and peaceful
Superb decoration, excellent facilities and heart-warming hospitality are the positives here. Also one can go by road to this houseboat also along-with shikara. Irhan, his father, his grandfather are so neighbourly. Riyaj bhai the awesome caretaker and caregiver. If you staying at kashmir, if you wish to stay at nigeen lake, you go for new peony. It's just perfect.
