Wonderful and unforgettable Stay.

Excellent ace to stay. Very homely. Absolute bliss. Highly recommended. The owner and staff members were very courteous. Food was good. Tea was excellent. The Shikara Bazar was at the doorstep. So there was no need to step out for shopping. Great stay. Enjoyed a lot.

Stay in houseboat is overhyped

Houseboat is on other side of Nigeen lake which is accessible only by Shikhara so freedom of movement is compromised. We stayed there only for one night. Before moving into houseboat we had finished all the sightseeing in city while staying in a hotel. Choose Lake and Mountain facing rooms which are available in houseboat which is moored/aligned parallel to bank of the lake. Other houseboats are parked vertically. The sole attendant is not available all the time for any kind of service required. I think stay in houseboat is overhyped. Indoors the only attraction across all houseboats is Kashmiri styled wood carved furniture adorning rooms, dining hall, lobby, etc. Once in, unless your room has window to lake, you won't even realise that you are inside a houseboat as it is stationary.

Amazing and beautiful houseboat, away from the hustle and bustle of crammed houseboats in Dal Lake, this house boat offered us a calm and relaxed environment. Stayed for a night and would surely love to spend more time in future too. Spacious room and beautifully decorated.

Go by shikara to other side of lake. Don't take your car to other side of lake where boat is moored. The route to boat is through very congested roads. Anyways boat is nicely built
