Peacock Houseboats

An amazing experience!! It was quite a refreshing experience. Thanks to Mr Manzoor for being such a gracious host. Waking upto a breathtaking site and eating outdoor with a stunning view of the valley and shinning water. You don’t want to miss it!! A peaceful and lovely place. Highly maintained.

Stay was really good. Boat had almost everything that you need. We were hosted by manzur bhai who were really supportive and helpful.

The houseboat is at quiet and serene place far from the hustle of dal lake. I enjoyed my time with family.

Pleasant stay. The boathouse is situated at a lesser crowded place which gives a good view. The dinner and breakfast were arranged as per our request of food and timings

They provided heater only for room and hall. Heater for room was not good enough, by morning it had stopped working also they told it's only for 8pm till morning 7am, so if u decide to spend the time in your room for rest of the time it will be inconvenient as it's on lake, it's very cold in winters. Food was tasty and the place was clean aswell.

Property location is very exclusive, less crowded, we enjoined our breakfast, the rooms are very clean, dining hall, bedrooms, living room are specious, toilets are clean, and we loved the personalise and homely service.

Everything was great. Homely food. Super heated rooms. Enough for 6 people. While booking any house boat please include dinner because moving out from these boats is very difficult.

Very beautiful place, among the beauty of nigeen lake. Great service, breakfast was also great. We loved the ambience. Not less than a 5 star experience.

Natural beauty besides houseboat was awesome, birds, lotus flower, view of hill all these elements gave me extra well being. More importantly, the food stuffs were so delicious that it made me overwelmed. However, one stuff was rude and try to force me to take ride with extra pay. Overall experience is 4/5.

Boat is well decorated and comfortable. Host tanveer is polite and humble. Food is good

Stay was nice. Houseboat is good. They even arranged for the cake that i had ordered but the experience of reaching the houseboat was not good. We reached at 9 pm and called for the shikara to reach the houseboat but they refused saying that you will have to come by road from the backside. We drove all the way round the lake through narrow lanes and had to go on the houseboat walking through the backside. The whole experience of staying in a houseboat gets spoiled like this.

Excellent stay at peacock houseboats. A floating gem, excellent services by tanveer. The stunning views of the mountains from the houseboat were mesmerizing and provided a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. A word of praise for the food and restaurant staff.

Very average food. No heating facility no got water. No hot water. Wrong information!

It’s was a pleasant stay. Expect the room heater wasn’t working for long hours during night

We were taken to the martin's houseboat from the pickup ghat by shikara at nigeen lake (yes, we booked peacock, but apparently that doesn't ensure you get to stay at the property showcased in mmt, just be aware of this) the houseboat was neat and tidy. Caretakers do a great job of accommodating all customers needs. Note, this particular boat, martin's, didn't have central heating. For the price paid, that seemed like a bummer in the beginning but we eventually had no issues with regards to room temperature - the rooms were well insulated. The view from the front deck overlooks the hari singh fort and offers a great spot for clicking pictures. Food was pretty basic but in a good way, felt homely - not too exciting yet soothing. Overall a decent experience at martin's - hope someday i will write one for the peacock houseboat too.
