We were taken to the martin's houseboat from the pickup ghat by shikara at nigeen lake (yes, we booked peacock, but apparently that doesn't ensure you get to stay at the property showcased in mmt, just be aware of this) the houseboat was neat and tidy. Caretakers do a great job of accommodating all customers needs. Note, this particular boat, martin's, didn't have central heating. For the price paid, that seemed like a bummer in the beginning but we eventually had no issues with regards to room temperature - the rooms were well insulated. The view from the front deck overlooks the hari singh fort and offers a great spot for clicking pictures. Food was pretty basic but in a good way, felt homely - not too exciting yet soothing. Overall a decent experience at martin's - hope someday i will write one for the peacock houseboat too.

Natural beauty besides houseboat was awesome, birds, lotus flower, view of hill all these elements gave me extra well being. More importantly, the food stuffs were so delicious that it made me overwelmed. However, one stuff was rude and try to force me to take ride with extra pay. Overall experience is 4/5.

An amazing experience!! It was quite a refreshing experience. Thanks to Mr Manzoor for being such a gracious host. Waking upto a breathtaking site and eating outdoor with a stunning view of the valley and shinning water. You don’t want to miss it!! A peaceful and lovely place. Highly maintained.

Excellent stay at peacock houseboats. A floating gem, excellent services by tanveer. The stunning views of the mountains from the houseboat were mesmerizing and provided a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. A word of praise for the food and restaurant staff.

Property location is very exclusive, less crowded, we enjoined our breakfast, the rooms are very clean, dining hall, bedrooms, living room are specious, toilets are clean, and we loved the personalise and homely service.

Everything was great. Homely food. Super heated rooms. Enough for 6 people. While booking any house boat please include dinner because moving out from these boats is very difficult.
