New Lucky Star Group of Houseboats

My experience on the new lucky star houseboat was awesome. Food and other service was very nice. Houseboat owner and caretaker both are good person and kind by nature. Thank you so much for gave us best service.

This houseboat is at worst location, price shouldn’t be more than per night whereas I made my booking per night. Its at No.9 gate with worst scenic beauty. Other houseboats between No.15-20 gates have best scenic beauty & in range of per night. Breakfast spread …very unsatisfactory. No running heater during night. No hot water for bathing. I really regret for my booking.

Good, neat and clean property. The caretaker - farooq was very friendly. It is on a corner of lake, so doesn't have the full lake view.

Overall a great experience. Staff is good and co-operative

Property was surrounded by a lot of mosquitoes. Hygiene was a big issue, dirty blankets and towels. Rooms were so close to each other that it was very annoying listening to people talking in another room.

Gud location. Nice staff delightful food, services are so good. I want to come again and again in this houseboat.

View, quality and services were excellent. Shikara ride was awesome. Owner of the houseboat was a cool guy, helped us in many ways.

Lunch and breakfast charged more than double.

The location of this hotel is very good. Staff is really helpful. The owner of houseboat is very helpful. Book deluxe rooms that worth for money. Only problem is food. You have to order food from outside which is too expensive as per food quality. Stay is fantastic.

Go to Dal gate no. 1 ... Take an auto for noor mo hammed shikara stop. Then the shikara guy ll take you to your houseboat .. He ll take you for a ride around in the beautiful and picturesque Lake ... People are very good and soft spoken .. At the end of your stay .. Shikara guy charges you for 500-700 .. In off season .. Have a safe and lovely stay

Pros: Superb houseboat, excellent in-house amenities, well organized & neatly decorated rooms. The houseboat is located amidst water (lake), so peace lovers can rejoice. Cons: No in-house restaurant so you have to order food via the caretaker every time you feel hungry. He'll go & source it from the market. Also, due to the mid lake location you've to depend on the shikara's to reach the bank to access the market which I feel is a downside for family travelers.

A memorable stay with full facilities, clean room, hygiene toilet, hot water facilities. Good and helpful staff and owner. Toilet was clean. Provided clean and washed blanket. About location it is some far from main ghat but you can enjoy while crossing the Dal Lake. I strongly recommend you all for a good and memorable hospitality.

Best house boat at attractive location. Comfortable stay and good hospitality. Rooms are neat and cleaned, dining hall is beautiful and the house boat gives a feeling of home with full care, The houseboat staff is extremely courteous and friendly. Quality service and value for money !!!

Had read good reviews about this houseboat and I wasn't disappointed. The staff is very good and friendly. The rooms are clean. The only drawback is that and which will be common to all houseboats is that the rooms are separated by wooden walls. Sleep and privacy gets affected if the next room is occupied. Taxi service to and fro the houseboat is provided.. Enjoyed the exquisite decor of the houseboat and the serenity of the lake. The houseboat location is good and not troubled by vendors. If you are opting for a non AC Room anywhere in kashmir fans are not provided. Happy stay.

Excellent house boat;the owner is very nice & cooperative. Food is nice in reasonable rate. We stayed therefor 2 days &we really enjoyed a lot. Only negative point is frequent load she ding occur;they have inverter only for light unable to operate fan.

Nice house boat with amazing view. We were family tour who opted for super deluxe room. The view of the valley and Dal Lake from the room was amazing. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Sightseeing service provided were satisfactory. The food was also good. Do try the Indian and Chinese food. We certainly recommend it to our friends and family.

House boat was good and staff was also good. Bed was heated by electric blanket and that was really comfortable. Bed was little uncomfortable, as it was making lot of noise. Overall good experience. Food was very expensive.

When we reached at the houseboat, it was around 3:00 PM, it was such a stinky place and one just can not stand by it. There was another houseboat from the same group which was a shade better then the one we got but we were told that it can't be provided. In our houseboat, there was a space for TV and fridge but none of these were there. After several follow ups finally only 14' TV was provided at 11:00 PM. When we asked about the menu, we were told that whatever so ever would be there in menu shall be provided. We were asked about the preference b/w veg and non-veg and I told them we would like to try both as some of us are vegetarian and some are not. The guy looked up to us and asked are you sure you would like to have both? Why cant you only have veg? These were the same question we had to face during our breakfast, we were told that only 4 toasts per person can be provided which was such a blunder. The boat was broken from several places, one cant shut the doors at night. This includes the doors of washrooms as well. You end up calling people to place order, any request but no one would turn up.
