The Apollo 11 Heritage Luxury Houseboat, Srinagar

Can't explain how horrible the experience was. the caretaker was so rude at all steps. 3 members of the family got food poisioning after eating dinner they provided. I checked with other people on the boat, unsurprisingly even they got food poisioning. please avoid at all costs. it's a loot

They are a group of fraud people. They will deny your checkin at apollo 11 if they booked locally and give your another low grade houseboat which is under construction. Also when you complain with mm t then they will make excuses and changes their statements also even after that some of mm t executives are so dump that they will not help you

The ambience and service is exceptional. The view from the porch is breathtaking. The staffs are very co-operative and polite. Made our stay worth while. Showkat and rash-id is very good

Unhygienic place, bad service, basic amenities like dental kit, toilet paper, moisturizer etc were also not available. Not worth the price, we had to pay even for water bottles and breakfast/dinner one of the worst we ever had. Not at all recommend this resort, better to take a hotel in srinagar rather than this place.

Overall experience has been amazing. The houseboat is neat & clean. The food is also good. The house staff nadeem & rash-id were very polite & helpful. A must recommended place with great view.

The rooms shown in photos were different and misleading, when i asked them they said they are costly ones and the one i booked is different.

We stayed here after completing a grand 7 day Kashmir itinerary for a relaxed finish for the recommended for All Folks A must visit for a wholesome experience. From scenic views to live traditional music to healthy and delicious cuisines , the houseboat lives upto its name ' Appollo Luxury' . A special mention for the entire onboard staff ( john , rasheed ) for their exquisite hospitality. A sure value for money .

The house boot is excellent in terms of location, Rooms and Services. Evening high tea is the highlight of the venue with local singers performing. For dinner we opted for Kashmir thalli and it was a over dose of local food. All in all worth the money, away from the crowd.

Right from transporting us from the ghat to the boathouse, welcoming us with kahwa tea with honey, the super delicious kashmiri special food (i think it was wazwan, arranging shikara for us, etc etc. Everything was done so perfectly

Apollo 11 good and comfortable place to stay. Hospitality is awesome. Veg food is tasty. J avid bhai had taken good care of us and felt like home

Worst experience, i will advise everyone not to think even of them. They promised us appolo luxury house boat but provided us with the most shabby and uncleaned. Their bedsheets and blankets were dirty and very old. They showed beautiful photos of a luxury hotel room, charged and provided us 2000 worth hotel. Their food was of low variety, have no taste and worse. Also their behavior was bad.

It’s terrible experience as there was no house boat called apollo 11. They have 2-3 house boat and put tourist in there. There was no boat available to take us to house boat similarly there was no arrangement to drop off. Staff was rude, heater was not there and they call it luxury. Even water bottles are charged. Breakfast was there in the booking still guy there took half an hour to confirm. Worst experience. Recommend to avoid it.

The houseboat is good, but as we travel-led in march so it was so cold but heater was nit provided. And they have taken charges from dal lake to houseboat to and fro

Worst experience we had here. Very poor service. No heater no water heater. Bad behaviour of staff. Poor food. Try another houseboat.

Boathouse is very nice but there was no heating system. Not very good service and food was very low quality. Lot of electricity problem could be faced. No terrace either. Too expensive for that kind of service.

Things didn't turn out to be good since we land up in this guest house in the wrong season. It started with the search of shikara at ghat no. 9 where nobody willing to drop us to that guest house. Then after we involved staff from the hotel with the shikara, we got a drop with a charge. There was no identification of the guest house from outside (no board with name) so it took some time by shikara to reach there. The complete guest house was chilling like anything. My two daughters (3yr & 10 yr), wife and i felt too much cold over there. On request, the staff offered chimney for some time at night but only in the main hall and again on request in the morning, the staff didn't ignite the chimney again. The room was too cold though we got hot water bottles but it's too small to be be used in such a harsh weather. In morning, i need to wake up the staff twice to get us some hot water since there was a power cut and we were waiting for some tea or at-least hot water to prepare tea at our side. In return, staff asked us to provide our hot flask to get the hot water. Unfortunately, we were not carrying any such flask while on holiday so we replied - no we do not have it. Then he went upstairs and came in two minutes and told that power has come now so you can prepare tea now youself. To my surprise, the moment he wake up and went upstairs, power came. So it was a game he played with us to save power as i understood. The tub was provided for the shower but asked us not to spill water outside it which was totally nonsence. I believe such words shall not be pleasant to any customer. I didn't say anything since he was the only person in the complete empty houseboat and we were not familiar with the people around. The staff offered us the gas heater with a nominal additional cost of rs 500 and till 10:30pm only which i was not aware of somehow. Coffee charges for 3 people costs me rs 350 which seems to be little expensive, shikara pickup and drop cost we need to bear though it's nominal rs 100 each side but i think it should be bearable by the guest house. Overall, i would say a complete no for this house boat. Thanks.
