Hotel is good. Location is very good and near lalchouwk. Hotel staff behavior is also excellent, food is also good. I hope my best hotel in my journey. Best wishes.

Staff is good but boat is average …………………………..,

My family and I had an excellent experience here. Mr Azhar is an extremely courteous and helpful host. We recommend staying here when in Srinagar!

Property location inside dal lake but you have to take boat every time to reach there which is chargeable. It should be complementary. Also it requires renovation as and cleanliness. Room is very small. Old bed sheets and pillows which may be changed.

Stay is good only, but owner has to be more polite with guests and not try to earn more commission from shikars.

Hotel houseboat had no shikara available to reach there

We have booked two rooms for 6 people in the houseboat, at the time we entered they denied our booking and told us that they have got the booking for 3 people only, i have shown them booking still they charged me 700 rupees for a single bed! and it is very much far from the ghat and you have to pay 100 rupees to the shikara every-time you want to come or go to the site seeing or to food. Never go to this houseboat! i repeat never!

Run by a single family of father, mother and a son for over decades and has hosted hundreds of travellers from all across the world. It has got three rooms. Suitable for solo, group or a family willing to stay on a house boat. Sometimes it feels like you are in venice, though infrastructure is very indian. Enjoy the stay with scenic views of himalayan ranges. If you are in kashmir then house boat in dal lake, is, a must do part of itinerary.

First we booked the property at very last moment so the price was high but now all kashmiri boat owners are doing due to high demand of tourism, but the owner himself is very friendly at very first and trying to give u comfort but only thing is offended us that telling us to check out before check out time in morning by 10 due to his next booking and horrible breakfast, just butter and bread and nothing else, and they packed it without even asking in a dirty plastic so they can check-out us earlier. And one more thing this property is not in front side of dal lake it's inside or back side so don't expect any view just stay and it's a oldest property at least 30 - 40years old.

I would like to take a few seconds to mention this precious experience for me. I have lived in many hotels and guest houses around India. But this hotel and living experience in HB New Calcutta is the best that I have ever had. The owner and the entire family were so generous and helpful they treated us like our own family member. Looking for my next trip very soon. I would highly recommend you to stay there. Thank you 💞

Owner was use abuse language and poor service

Great house boat. Owner was very kind hearted. Nice service facilities Kashmiri special dishes served there.

Boathouse good only thing backside in jhil. drawbacks otherwise reasonable price cheap.
