First house boat experience in dal lake!

We stayed at king paradise houseboat for one night. Property was well maintained, good location, very clean and nicely decorated. Homely and tasty food was served. Dinner and breakfast were great. The caretaker -john was polite, helpful and provided prompt service. Overall we had a wonderful stay.

Worst houseboat stay

We booked this houseboat for a day and for next day we were thinking to book a hotel stay but later booked one more day here only on the request of owner as we were there for 2 days in srinagar. It was the worst mistake to continue there as owner pleaded for only minting money and looting us along with his shikara provider. When they were not able to do so then they behave rudely with us and we were irrelevantly charged extra for breakfast. They forced us to leave the boatstay on next day even before check out time.

It was really nice experience staying at this boathouse. Staff were good and helpful. The rooms were clean and well prepared. Breakfast was great. It was really nice experience. And the price point was even friendly compared to the other boathouses.

The hb is a bit far from the ghats but takes only about 7 to 8 minutes to reach there and the shikara people are always available and they provide rides as many times as you ask! sweetest people ever.
