My recent stay at Mahatta Homestay in Srinagar was a delightful experience. While the homestay's architecture may not have been traditionally Kashmiri, it was beautifully designed and offered a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The accommodations were spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The rooms were tastefully decorated, creating a relaxing ambiance. Although the homestay didn't serve traditional Kashmiri cuisine, the food they offered was delicious and varied, catering to different palates. The hosts were incredibly friendly and hospitable, making me feel welcome and at home. They were always ready to assist with any requests and provided helpful recommendations for exploring the city. Overall, Mahatta Homestay is a fantastic choice for anyone seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Srinagar. The homestay's beautiful design, comfortable accommodations, and friendly hosts make it a memorable experience.

Very good place to stay. The garden is very good and well maintained. The breakfast was also nice. No complaints as such.

The property is very well located and has an old world charm to it. The garden is just lovely. Our only issue was with the food. B fast was a bid odd as there would hardly be any accompaniments with idli/paratha. It was almost impossible to eat these things dry. We ended up having bread and butter mostly. In terms of taste, dinner was not something to look forward to. Of the 5 nights we stayed, we ate only once at the home stay. Stay was excellent but the food left a lot to be desired.

what we felt — it was not a home stay — that was home (not the home stay ) , beautiful house ,caring staff — clean and hygiene at dining — we wish to come and stay again and again at same place

Lovely place with a lovely garden. In the quieter part of the city. The owner was toking care of the garden when we were there. The only thing we disliked was that the washroom was not spotlessly clean n hot water was not available at all times.

This is a damn good property. Best we have ever visited. They serve you very good home cooked meal.

Great experience. Rooms were clean and hygienic. The staff was cordial. Only issue i found was complimentary breakfast was not up to the mark. Rest was all great.

An excellent place with clean and peaceful environment. The cook and the manager are very much helpful. I recommend this place for pure vegetarian family.

The best place to stay in srinagar. Very professional but homely vibes. Nice big rooms with all the necessary amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Food and hospitality are worth mentioning. Although only veg options but we hardly missed non-veg.

Excellent stay. However, generator should switch on automatically when elect fails.

From room to breakfast, everything was amazing 😍 I wish we could stay longer! it is one of the best properties in Srinagar

This is a beautiful property at a very prime location. Rooms have beautiful decor and are maintained quite well. The garden view from the room is cherry on the cake. Also, they provide really good food at reasonable prices. Staff is efficient and helpful. Special mention to the delicious cake baked by mrs. Mehta. Certainly the best place in srinagar that you can stay at if you prefer home stays over hotels. Would love to visit again!

Very hospitable, good for vegetarians, ambience is very good, food is excellent, green and well maintained
