it is worst experience of services. they changed for double deluxe view room but given small room. The receptionist was unprofessional and irresponsible. this hotel is for younger not for senior citizens.

Poor Stay
The location is too improper. Had to clump zillions of vertical stairs to reach the hotel that was pathetic. I loved the room, very spacious but when we entered the room the fungal smell was there. They could have keep some room sprayer or anti fungal napthalene since they know it’s a hill region and fungus do occur in rooms. When i checked in there was no one in the reception. Had to wait for sometime the staff who attended wasn’t seem polite. Besides, the food was amazing. Can’t complain it was the best. Everything else was fine.

Poor Stay
Hotel is not easily reachable, 85 stairs to climb.. They give poorest rooms with no ventilations to people booking online. Staff was not coperative and food was bad

Dear Amrender Kumar, Hotel Golden Oren is located in the beautiful Darjeeling hill area, which naturally comes with some challenges like narrow lanes and stairs due to the terrain. Yes, the property has a number of stairs (around 80 outside and some inside), which might be a bit tiring—but the reward is a truly scenic view that you won’t find easily elsewhere! Being in a congested hill area, space is always at a premium, but the rooms are well maintained and the location is quite peaceful once you’re inside. The buffet breakfast includes multiple items to choose from—perhaps on that particular day there was a limited selection, but we do try to keep good variety daily. As for the TV not working, it seems there might have been a temporary issue, and we’ll surely take care of that immediately. Overall, if you're ready for a bit of stair climbing, Hotel Golden Oren is a great spot to enjoy the natural beauty and charm of Darjeeling. Warm Regards Golden Hotels & Resorts

basic things like door window handles broken geyser water was dirty
room was not up to date as shown in pic's blanket , bed sheets and even pillow covers were too dirty they changed it but those were too smelly door handle and window handle were broken but buffet was all days good

The room ventilation is very poor you have to climb 100 stairs to reach the hotel It is very risky in monsoon but the food was good 👍🏼 overall I give it a 2.5 out of 5

Hotel was not as per the photo shown. We called to the customer service was on call. He didn't do anything. The hotel also did not shift to other properties. From 5:20 pm 7:35 pm we have waited for a better room but not yet given. Then we have shifted to other property.

Hotel is at very high and even young person find him difficult to reach hotel as almost 85 ladders are there. Hotel room services are also very bad however food is upto mark. I suggest not to book this hotel. it only shows 100 meter from mall road.

Good Stay
The stay was good. The view from the room was excellent. However the approach to the hotel is a bit on the trickier side, with a steep climb of approx 50 odd meters from the clock tower, followed by around 70 steps to reach the hotel reception. However the hotel room was extremely spacious, with great views of the valley and kanchenjunga. The in hotel restaurant is good, and serves extremely tasty food, as per requirement. Disappointing Stay Due to Noise and Poor Facilities
The location is nearby mall road but the worst thing is we need to walk almost 25 steps upright like climbing a mountain. Also rooms are not as good as expected like no proper maintenance, TV not working, Linens are washed one not a new and Smelling of shit all the time in room. The good thing is the staff is good and food is okay
