I stayed at Elephant Passage for 2 days with my wife. The property itself is lovely — the location, greenery and the general atmosphere are lovely and peaceful, and some parts (pool, rooms, food) can be really nice. However, our stay was marred by a few worrying service and housekeeping issues that management should address.
What went wrong (my experience)
Staff training & privacy: One of the dine-in staff actually walked into our room without asking while I had just opened the door — that made me uncomfortable.
Reception responsiveness: The reception contact number didn’t respond when I tried to call. I also attempted to book dinner through reception but didn’t get a proper response.
Jacuzzi / privacy & cleanliness: I saw staff wandering in the jacuzzi area (that felt like it should be a private/no-entry zone). Worse, there was a large (≈3 inch) spider in my jacuzzi room; I spent most of the time watching it and worrying it would come near my clothes — not the kind of experience you want in a room meant for relaxation.
Restaurant comfort: Food was good, but the dining area was uncomfortably hot at times — please install at least a fan or improve ventilation so guests aren’t sweating through their meal when nature doesn’t cooperate.
