lunch was great ,ambience was good ,and the staff was very good . but the lake was filled with some kind of plants and it was looking so bad so enjoyed the stay but the outside experience was super bad .and sorry to say that to remove these kind of dirt and keep the lake clean is the responsibility of the resort owners but it seems like they only care the inside of the property . we all go there to enjoy the scenic not just to sit inside the room guys pls note this point before jump into these kind of places managements of those areas resort owners

Our stay was pleasant, and the location of the resort is serene and well maintained. Staff are kind and courteous. Food tastes very good and prices are ok. Boat rides and other amenities are good.

Absolutely beautiful property. It is right next to the backwaters. location is simply amazing. The property is so huge, full of trees and beautifully maintained. There are a few games like table tennis, carrom and badminton. The rooms are simply out of the world. so spacious. The high ceiling adds to the room's ambience. The bathrooms are simply stunning. You feel very close to nature. Staff are very courteous. One thing they may need to improve: Breakfast spread

Our stay at Abad whispering palms was a beautiful and comfortable experience. The breakfast spread was amazing! The rooms were clean and well maintained. Their room service was also commendable. Overall we are fully satisfied by their hospitality.

The property is excellent and give a heritage feel. Food was very tasty. There are activities as well. Staff is very courteous and always available to help. We stayed in Bamboo pool villa and it was very beautiful and the pool was clean and well maintained.

The stay was really good and we got a warn welcome. The food was very tasty but i think they could have included more items in the menu

Beautiful property with stunning scenic views! The kids had a great time, especially enjoying the speed boat ride. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which made our stay even more comfortable. Highly recommend for a family getaway!

We stayed at this property recently. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff were courteous and helpful throughout our stay. However, the breakfast buffet was quite underwhelming and didn’t meet our expectations, especially for a property rated 4 stars on MakeMyTrip. Room service for à la carte orders was timely, but the food quality was average and not particularly impressive. One notable issue was the key card holder in our room — the outer portion was loose and kept falling off whenever we inserted or removed the card. While I understand that it’s an old property, such maintenance issues shouldn't be overlooked, especially at this rating. On a positive note, the cottages and overall ambiance of the place were quite pleasant. With a few improvements, especially in food quality and upkeep, the experience could be much better.

Very good place to stay. Food was great. Staff were very nice and friendly. Wifi not is not usable. Location was beautiful. Easy to communicate to staff from room.

It was stress bruster stay for us , after our wedding . We had good food , went for walk , had amazing experience of boating. We have booked private bool villa , which was best decesion . Hositiality and Service was also excellent. Inshort we had good stay

One of the highlights was the delicious food—the dinner buffet had a great variety, and every dish we tried was flavorful and fresh. The restaurant staff were extremely courteous and ensured we had everything we needed. The serene backwater surroundings, the well-kept pool, and the overall calmness of the resort made this stay relaxing and rejuvenating. It was the perfect escape from the daily hustle. Highly recommend Abad for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with great food, excellent service, and beautiful views. I look forward to visiting again!

The property is small yet beautiful right on the lake front. The best rooms are the ones with lake view the garden view is not that much fun. The service not upto the mark compared to other Abad stays no one to carry luggage. No one to tell about what are the amenities. We had booked the garden view but then wanted to change to lake view so we asked and they said we don’t have any rooms empty then we again went back and said maybe u misunderstood we r willing to pay for upgrade lo and behold there is empty rooms and they upgraded for 1500/- and in fact most of the lake view rooms were empty. Blatant lie. Looked heavily understaffed. We asked for housekeeping and it took 15-20 mins to turn up. Called reception multiple times at night for Wi-Fi password and no one answered. Rooms were spacious and well maintained but lot of noise of grass cutting they should postpone such activities when guests are staying there. Food was good for a la crate the service was also we had a bee sweet person waiting on us. Breakfast is not upto the mark it was ok at the best

It was a decent experience. The service could have been better. At this price, we can expect much better as the property has a lot of potential.

The resort's lush greenery and tranquil atmosphere made it an ideal spot to unwind. The staff were courteous and efficient, ensuring a seamless experience from check-in to check-out. The in-house restaurant served a wide variety of dishes, including local Kerala specialties. The resort features a well-maintained swimming pool, Ayurvedic spa, and private boating services. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, with some offering private pools and lake views. Overall, my stay at Abad Whispering Palms was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway in Kumarakom.

Location of the property is excellent. We liked the food. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. But the turn downs were there was huge delay in serving food. Toilet seat was not neat with few black marks giving a feel that it is dirty.

The property is beside the lake and it's a lake front property. Rooms are big and decent. The swimming pool was maintained fine. There is a small kids area and some indoor games. Cycling is available and a Spa also. It's a small resort and not many activities. Food was good. Cleanliness may be improved.

Stay and the swimming pool was excellent. Regarding food, it was kind of okay. The tea that we got was terrible. The fridge was not there in the room. The replaced fridge was not working

It is a small and cute resort. The working level staff are very helpful. But the property and food are not up to the mark. We stayed in room 117. The room is infested with ants. The walls have marks of seepage. The kettle is in a sorry state. The bath tub is unusable- the longer than needed curtain is so dirty in the lower part that taking shower is repulsive. The tub itself is flaking and there is no bath mat. We tried the buffet dinner on 16th March. It was sorry experience. You get excellent 'APPAMS' all over Kerala, except in this place. They specialize in inedible appams and curd-rice along with unappetizing fare. The desserts were just terrible. The fruit custard was bitter. The fruit was inedible. I am surprised that they could find such low-grade pineapple in Kerala. Another pudding was just sugar and corn flour. Binu, the catering manager was rude. We went out for dinner on 17th, paying Rs 2000 for teh taxi, just to escape the inedible buffet. There is no walking path where you could saunter even. It is not a 4-star resort. I wonder how it is rated so. Perhaps because of eth swimming pool that we didn't use. Trying to forget teh experience.

Rooms were infected by bed bugs. Hospital staff had to be called at midnight to find a solution. They shifted guests from room 308 to another room. That room too was infected. Again they shifted guests by about 2AM to another room. The night was thus horrible. When we took up with the hotel staff for a refund of the room rent for this room 308, as the booking was through them. We now request you to take up this issue and arrange for refund of the rent charged for room 308.
