Another fabulous holiday at th....

We have stayed here many times, but this time we took our Mother-in-law with us. She agreed with us how lovely this hotel is. The staff, food and facilities are second to none! We have tried a couple of other hotels, but quite frankly, they just don't measure up to The Conquistador. We will be back, and can't wait for our next holiday among friends.

Best hotel

We are just back from Tenerife. We have been there several times staying in different hotels but our travel agent recommended H10 Conquistador because the standard was higher than other H10 hotels on the island. She was right. The staff were so helpful and efficient.. The food was excellent. Entertainment on during the day as well as evening. It doesn't matter if you are 6 or 60 there was plenty to do. There was no loud music during the day only at water aerobics. Shows finished at 10.30 pm. Shows were brilliant. Check out staff were most helpful and cheerful.

A very good stay in an excelle....

Usually stay at Cleopatra Hotel, PDLA, however, last couple of times we felt the whole experience was 'rather tired' and poor value for money. With this in mind we selected the H10 Conquistador on the basis of location and TA reviews. Check in was a pleasant experience thanks to Cecil who accommodated our room preferences and gave us a great welcome. Room was spotless and had obviously been recently renovated. Location was fine with a partial sea view. We had booked HB with the intention of eating in the hotel if the food was acceptable. I'm pleased to say breakfast was mostly excellent, except for the bitter coffee and 'chemical tasting' orange juice. Nescafe satchets were available as an alternative though - not ideal, but acceptable. Also had a couple of lunches and a few dinners. All were pretty good and no complaints at all. Dining room staff were great. Good, well staffed bars and reasonable entertainment meant we had a couple of well made G&T's each evening. All in all a very pleasant stay and I'm happy we chose this hotel in preference to the Cleopatra. Will we return? Definitely.

Fantastic Hotel

I am 88 years and a tremendous staff arrange a very suitable room on 1st floor near the lifts with a walk in shower with a pool view with sunshine.The room was refurbished and had mirrored wardrobes.All very comfortable.

Never again once bitten twice ....

We were greeted on arrival by a privileged advisor who convinced me to upgrade to all inclusive package which I did in good faith and Mr and Mrs Letzer who arrived about an hour after ourselves agreed to also, unfortunately this was cancelled by us within 2 days and refunded the days that were not used this complaint in regard upgrading to all inclusive package was very much about the very poor standard of food in the buffet restaurant and also the steak restaurant which I found inadequate to call a restaurant and was purely a cafe that was not up to a four star hotel standard one lunch was obtained in the steak / pool bar restaurant a hot dog and a burger and quite honesty was a very poor quality not of a standard acceptable and I left most of the burger but did not complain as there really was no point. The hotel is aware of my complaint and dissatisfaction in regard this as Mrs Letzer together with my wife visited customer services and when explained to the advisor Anna , the advisor was astounded at our treatment and was very apologetic to the conditions and treatment we encountered throughout our stay we also requested for the complaint to be lodged in the hotel book for the tourism industry councillors to inspect so they could be aware of the problems we incurred and save other clients the same problems but there didn’t seem to be a book of this nature. There were also some good points in the Hotel for instance the Japanese restaurant was very good and the Italian restaurant although limited menu was also ok . The holiday has also caused a greet deal of tension between ourselves and the Letzer’s a friendship that has been severely tested and I personally hold myself responsible to my friends for the unfortunate problems we have had especially as they stay in hotels of a 4 star standard like ourselves and this hotel has come disappointingly come to very low standards. Our last holiday where we met Mr & Mrs Letzer for the first time was at the Bon Sol in illetas Majorca last year now unfortunately I am not prepared to suggest another holiday with them so the friendship has been become strained . Room issues; The Air conditioning being switched off in our room at around midnight with just a fan turning in it but no air coming through it. It then started working again at around 7 A.M. and air was circulating this was over at least 6 nights of our stay so waking up in the middle of the night in a sweat and being very uncomfortable indeed. Bathroom very disappointing rust in the bath broken floor tiles very unacceptable it was more like a 3 star room than a 4 star room. Hotel reception staff at 23.00. Hrs on 29/04/18 were approached and were extremely rude and intimidating and it became very stressful and they treated me with no respect and embarrassing to myself my wife and Mr Letzer (Room 602) as other guests listening in and amazed what was going on , they were not listening to the complaint in regard me trying to buy a drink at the bar.We also had a guest who lives in Tenerife visit me and when I tried to buy some drinks the waitress did not know the drink she wanted although she requested in Spanish so the guest changed the drink to something else, when we ordered the round our room number was requested however I did not have the room card with me as the waitress requested but actually had the card key she advised we needed the room card we said we were all inclusive until a few days before and in using all hotel facilities and were never ever asked for the card at any time in any of the restaurants or bars she asked the head barman at the main bar to explain to us and he was totally unprofessional and rude and made the waitress explain rather than come over and explain himself our guest was totally astounded by the attitude and she left the hotel immediately and we had to leave the hotel to get a drink elsewhere and felt so ashamed how could this be happening to us. I had invited another couple Mr and Mrs Letzer who came to the hotel on our recommendation to spend the holiday with me and my wife and they were totally humiliated and has caused unnecessary tensions between us in regard everything that has happened this is again totally unacceptable and has caused a friendship to be very difficult and has stopped us from future holidays.
