Hotel Palace Sevilla. Three night stay.
Travelled to Seville from Edinburgh with Easyjet. Excellent flights and service.
We booked the Hotel Palace Sevilla through Booking.com. We chose this hotel as according to Booking.com it is a 4 star hotel, located in the centre and we thought it looked good from the pictures on the web.
However this is not the case or at least was not the case for us. You cannot check in at this hotel early but you are invited to leave your suitcases in a room close to reception (unlocked) and go out until check in opens. We had asked the hotel before we travelled if there was any chance of an early check in but were told no.
We were allocated room 213 which we were disappointed by as it was so small and we would have classed it as a single room only but as it was only a short break we accepted this room. Worse was yet to come. The room was poorly looked after by the housekeeping team who only seem to make your bed and do absolutely nothing else. As there was nowhere to hang towels after a shower we left them on the floor one day to be changed and on that day yes we got clean towels but the housekeeping didn't bother to make up our beds. The window in the room was very small and could only open a little. We therefore had to use the air conditioning which was located above the dresser with a TV and a lamp on it. When the unit was switched on it dripped water down onto the unit which worried us because of the electrics. Thankfully we did not spend very much time in the room.
Another attraction for us was the roof terrace bar with a free complimentary drink. The rooftop bar was closed (no reason given) and the tiny bar area in the hotel was only open from 5pm – 10 pm. We did take up our free drink which is either a glass of wine or a coffee !
The entrance to the hotel is carpeted (red) and this carpet never saw a vacuum during our stay (poor housekeeping again).
Another huge complaint for us is the fact that we were sold a 4 star hotel by Booking.com however we were at no time told that this hotel is in fact only a 3 star. We will certainly never book through Booking.com again. Do not have any faith in them.
On a positive note we travelled from the airport and back with Rideways booked for us through Booking.com and this part of the holiday was fantastic, The drivers were very professional, on time, polite and in comfortable cars.
Seville is a very beautiful city and I would highly recommend it as a holiday location. We used the Tour bus (two day ticket) and found this to be a great way to see all the sights then get off the bus and visit the ones you like.

Central and quiet
Our room was clean and quiet, although on the small side. Roof bar was closed for refurb which was a disappointment....could have been made aware of this beforehand. Car parking under hotel and well worth the money...book in advance to get a space. Breakfasts expensive for what was on offer, so after one we ate out.
Shower unit very small, say again...shower unit very small!!!
However, don't be put off, hotel is in the centre and clean with helpful happy staff.

Central hotel good for explori....
The room was small but well appointed. The staff were excellent and whilst some did not speak very good English the always wAnted to support and help. The bar on the roof was great for a relaxing end to the afternoon after spending time walking and sightseeing. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice for euros 10. Would recommend for a reasonable price clean and central hotel

Football trip to Betis.
Great hotel exactly where you need to be to explore the city. Rooms very comfy and cleaned as you would expect of a good hotel. Could not fault. Excellent for couples young and old.would recommend walking everywhere as nothing too distant. Cross the river to Triana is a must. Walk into a small bar and be amazed the real Andulician welcome.

Great location but smelled lik....
Pros: The hotel is in a fantastic location, close to all of the main attractions and restaurants. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We arrived before check-in and were able to explore the city since they let us store our luggage in a closet until check-in time, which was great! Although this was very convenient, I would not recommend leaving valuables there since there is nobody in charge of guarding the closet and there is no lock on the door. We also were given vouchers for two free drinks, so it was really nice to be able to enjoy the views from their rooftop terrace. The decorations are just as shown on the website. Very clean, besides the sewage smell mentioned below.
Cons: When entering the room, it smelled VERY strongly like perfumes. We noticed that there were perfumes all over corners of the room in an attempt to cover up a horrible sewage smell coming from the bathroom. We slept with the windows open to try to get rid of the mix of the smell of perfume and sewage. The sewage smell was also in the dining area/dining area bathroom. The shower was also very small and uncomfortable. A tall person wouldn't fit and it would be hard to bathe children there.
