The location is good and the rooms are clean. Except that I have only cons:
- the rooms were very cold
- no room service
- poor WiFi
- the walls and door of the rooms are very thin, you can hear lots of noise coming from the lobby or from the other rooms

Cheap price, poor basic servic....
The distance from Gara De Nord is 600 m. It's good. But the street was very dirty.
Everything in room was normal, not bad, not very good: one lamp near bed didn't work, the shower didn't have washing shirm. The last thing was most annoying, it's not convenient, the floor was wet after shower.

The hotel is pleasant, clean and basic as you would expect for the price. The staff speak English but don't understand it too well as I had to repeat myself a few times each time I asked for something. We were there for 5 days and the room wasn't cleaned once. I requested clean towels and toilet roll expecting the room to have been cleaned when we returned but all we got was the toilet roll - no towels, no beds made, nothing.
Although the hotel itself is Ok, the street it's located on looks like a warzone. Each time we stepped outside of the hotel there were gangs of (dare I say it?) gypsies and alcoholics. There were derelict buildings on that street in which there were families of gypsies living, it was heart breaking to see. In all fairness they never approached us or bothered us but it's not a good advertisement for the hotel.
The hotel rooms allow lots of noise from the street; groups of taxi drivers gather outside the shop across the road in the early hours of the morning to have loud conversations.
The hotel is well situated just a few minutes walk from the main railway station where there are many restaurants, bars and shops. There is also a daily market right around the corner from the hotel which has excellent street food and outdoor bars.
The old town is the place to be for nightlife as it is streets and streets of restaurants, bars, clubs etc. It is a good 35 minutes walk to the old town and there are plenty of trams and buses to the district but a taxi only costs £1 so it's hardly worth using public transport.

It looks good on the map and only on the map - the street is an actual gypsy ghetto, people are drinking on the street every night. It's close to the city centre and main tourist places, but at night it's better to have a car or use a taxi. The air condition was working and the beds were fine, there was also quite clean in our room. On the other hand the tv was a laugh (small) and the room had 3 electric sockets, one of them was near the door, very inconvenient. After pluging in tv, fridge and a phone charger you have none left. The price is fine for the Bucharest, not high, but you have to remember it really is a hotel on a gypsy ghetto street.

Double booking and extremely r....
As we got to the hotel at around 3am, the receptionist told us the reservation had been cancelled. She also told us they had no other available rooms left. We told her, that we had notified in advance that we would be arriving late in the night as we made the reservation. We had also sent a separate email to confirm the situation, to which they had replied affirmatively just a couple of days earlier. According to the email, our late arrival would be no problem. That of course didn't make any difference then.
The attitude of the receptionist was absolutely horrible. When we asked, she refused to help us find another hotel. She even refused to let us use the hotel WIFI and lobby to do this by ourselves. She threw us out!!! We had to go into the night in a strange city and find the next hotel with a free room, which wasn't exactly cheap. In all my years of travel, I've never encountered such utter hostility from a hotel receptionist.
Avoid this place like the plague.
