Great hotel good location
We stayed at this super hotel for 4 nights, it’s in a great location for Copacabana beach and central for the shopping area, we did one of the organised trips to see Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf mountain, we hired bicycles for a morning from a little shop close by called Copa bikes, and cycled 16 miles all along the cycle tracks, you can go from Copacabana to Ipamena and back very easily, we cycled through the tunnel to Botafogo. We were a little concerned as we had read about the trouble of pickpockets and trouble for tourists, we were a party of 6 adults, we kept our wits about us and didn’t carry anything valuable with us, we didn’t see or have any problems, there is a lot of poverty but not a lot of begging. We had an amazing time.

Fantastic place to stay
What a fantastic place to stay.... very friendly and helpful staff, great food, and a brilliant location for the beach. There are also plenty of local shops to explore, eat and drink at. Highly recommended for a trip to Rio. It's a shame I have to leave tomorrow!!!!

Enjoyed our stay here.
Lobby: staff in front was always attentive and helpful. From the bell boys to front desk to the restaurant area.
Location: VERY GOOD. Next best thing to having a hotel that faces the beach. You give up the view for the price. But it’s only a quick walk around the corner and then you’re right there at copacabana beach! Loved it. Plus a money exchange, atm, juice, ice cream, souvenirs and convenience store all within a block!!
Rooms: decent. Our king bed was basically 2 fulls put together (literally) and a 3 bed in the room (technically) for some reason. Bathroom was a nice size. Shower was nice and big w great water pressure
The free breakfast was very good as well
Housekeeping staff was always on top of having our room ready right when we left for our tourist activities.
*tip* they allowed us to add on a night basically since our flight transfer was at 10:30pm for $100 so that helped with some convenience.
Would stay here again!!

We stayed at Windsor Copa during Carnaval. This was a very nice hotel, and we felt safe. Very close to the beach and easy to get to even at night. We were told how unsafe Rio De Janeiro was, and my fiance and I agreed that as long as you are not being dumb and aware of your surroundings, it was not a bad place at all. We luckily have an exchange family that we were with, and so any Portuguese spoken was done by them. The hotel even decorated for the festival!! They also contract out to a travel place for buses to the event and bring you back. I would definitely recommend staying here for Carnaval!
Our room was a little small compared to what we are used to, but we are American. Everything is bigger in America..
