Clean with a top location
It was great to be able to walk to the beach and the beautiful Star Swamp bushland.
A disappointment was the workmen who were staying were allowed to dominate the car park whilst drinking beers and then to awaken the whole establishment with chatter and laughter at 7am (joined by the proprietor who I thought should be quietening them down - not joining in.)

Though this hotel is inexpensive, there are many reasons for it being so. I would give it zero if I could.
First, be aware parking can be taken both on the upside and downside and they are two different entrances. This was not pointed out to us and we ended up parking in the street. There is no management on site so no one to check matters with.
The stove did not work. Unable to use it.
There is no light in the kitchen so difficult anyhow.
Sitting at the small round table, you will bang your knees on the legs.
Toilet paper cheaper than cheap. You ended up using at least twice as much as usual as it is so thin.
No ABC channels on the TV that was pixilating. No TV guide.
Bathroom fan sounded like a jet engine and it turns on with the light. If anybody goes to the toilet at night, the fan is guaranteed to wake up the other person.
Hardly any water in the shower rose.
There were no batteries in the Air con. remote.
No bin in the bathroom.
The bathroom tap was constantly running.
Internet was painfully slow and kept dropping out.
There are no lights on set of stairs to access upstairs at night.

A block from sunsets on the be....
The place was a normal hotel room size with a kitchen. It would have been nice if there was a sign for the laundry room or information in the guide book in the room. Parking was limited but I did not have any problems as I arrived early.

Excellent, close to beach
Stayed for 7 nights and found the place very good with everything i needed for my stay. The staff were very friendly and answered any questions i had. Would defiantly stay there again if in Perth as not only close to the beach its great value for money

I don't make a habit of disrespecting people or things but I am going to make an exception. The first thing I need to say about this accommodation is that they should pay you to stay there.
It is appalling. The pictures speak for themselves however, I will explain so we are clear. The bathroom has an overwhelming mouldy smell which of course is due to the fact that the ceiling is very mouldy and very unhealthy I might add!
The kitchenette comes with a leaking and rusty fridge. There are hotplates to cook on. .. Also rusty.
The smoke alarm. .. oh wait, there Isn't one, just a bad reminder of what maybe was one at some time previously. Now in Western Australia a motel/hotel comes under the Building Code of Australia (BCA) class 2 which stipulates it is mandatory law to install smoke alarms for obvious reasons.
The carpet is reminiscent of "sticky pub carpet" I'm sure it's never been cleaned.
In general the place is old and the owners have made small feeble attempts to make it look ok. .. They didn't fool me. The one, yes only one, positive thing I can say about the room is that the sheets were clean and fresh and the bed is comfortable.
There is a TV but it is so tiny it is hardly worth bothering. 47cms (diagonally) to be exact. You certainly could not watch anything with subtitles on this TV.
OK so you're probably wondering why we even stayed. It didn't look like this on the website ( they fooled me that time) and it is right near the ocean. The name does not lie, if you happen to be in the right room, you can see the ocean. The surrounding area is beautiful. High end homes and lovely cafès (Tropico is the best! )
The scenery and proximity to Sorrento Quay is very nice.
Western Australia is often referred to as the Sunset Coast and not just because it is in the west. We have AMAZING sunsets! Ask anyone who lives here.
So if you are looking to stay in this area look around but whatever you do, don't stay here! If you do, don't say I didn't warn you!
