Muito antigo

Somente pontos fracos.

Nice basic hotel

The hotel offers cheap clean basic rooms. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, moat of them spoke a good level of English. There is free parking in their garage which is a big plus. The breakfast was reasonable, but if you turn up towards the end, there will be few options left to eat. The rooms have nice clean beds, TV, AC and a fridge. There is a subway station 2 or 3 blocks away, and a busy main road with plenty of buses and restaurants 1 block away. They offer food in the evenings, but this is ordered from a takeaway restaurant, this was not good quality food and I am sure they added a surcharge.

Avoid if you plan to stay for ....

OK, I'll start by saying that I'm a very low maintenance type which is the main reason why I give this place a star. Anyone with higher standards would have given it a ZERO. In what follows, I'll try to do a breakdown of my rating. Location: convenient with a subway station close by and relatively safe (or so I was told) with a police station two blocks away. It was noisy though, with noises coming from both the inside and the outside. NOT pretty. Dirty streets, broken pavement COVERED in dogs poop. When it rains, water gathers underneath the broken interlock tiles and if you're unlucky to step on it, you get the mud-and-poop mixture all over your shoes and pants EEEWWWWW! Rooms: tiny, dated and smelly. They try to disguise the smell with a cheap air freshener which is sure to give you allergies. And no, you cannot remove it because the freshener bottle is glued to the table! Had to cover it with a plastic bag. No shower door in the washroom, so you cannot really use your washroom for several hours after you shower because of the puddles on the floor. Alternatively, you can throw a towel on the floor and wipe it dry, but if you don't feel like doing housekeeping yourself, just bear with it. Faucets are intermittently leaky. Letting the staff know there is a problem does not fix anything because the faucets are just too old and cry for replacement, not repair. Air conditioner worked well though and was not noisy. Beds are comfy, but for some reason they don't use mattress protectors so you can actually see all the stains on your mattress through the sheet. Housekeeping: daily, but superficial. There was tons of dust under the bed that didn't seem to be touched in years. Linens and towels were clean though. One day, after the room had been cleaned, I found a huge stinky chunk of poop floating in the toilet. I ran to the front desk asking whether the housekeeping staff were allowed to use the guests’ washrooms and requesting that my washroom be cleaned and guess what - they did not even apologize! They sent someone to clean it, which took less than five minutes, so I assume the cleaning consisted in just flushing the toilet. Internet: non-existent if you're staying above the fifth floor, intermittent on floors 4-5, very week in the common areas on the ground floor. Seemed to be consistent only on the second floor. So saying that every room features wi-fi would be an overstatement, if not false advertising. If you need to make a Skype or Face Time call, get ready to stand on the stairs of the second floor with all other guests staring at you as they listen to your conversation with the curiosity they don't even try to hide. When I complained, the answer was "no one else is complaining!" which is rude not only because they're trying to tell you you’re a shrew, but they also show they don't care about the guest's INDIVIDUAL experience as long as "everybody else" is happy. No apology there either. Continental breakfast: extremely limited options plus the menu had not changed one bit during my two-week stay. They have one two-slice toaster that is ALWAYS in use so you never really get to toast your bread. Being a very inexpensive appliance, why don't they add one more or buy a four-slice variety? The bottom line: do yourself a favour and avoid if staying for more than one night.

Buenos Aires a vibrant city

Overall, I had a pleasant stay there. The highlight was the night I went to a local tango club for an evening of tango lessons, dinner and a show. The club sent a very nice bus to pick up the participants. The evening began with tango lessons, dinner and then a show. It was recommended by the receptionist Carol. She was very nice and a pleasant person. The inn was okay, breakfast was meager, but the staff was very nice. The location was convenient.
