Review Of River Valley Resort Rishikesh

Facilities not upto the mark. Cooler wasn't functional. Frequent power cuts. Cleanliness was good. Pool facility is great.

Firstly in makemytrip they have hosted their tents have ac and are premium tents. We booked the same based on the same facts. But when we arrived we saw the tents were not at all premium and it had cooler but not AC. The first tent where they checked us in was very claustrophobic and the cooler was not working. When we asked them why did they mention that the tents have ac in MMT they didn't care and said if we want to have a C then we can opt for the cottages. The tent was so uncomfortable that we had to go for ac cottages paying extra charges of Rs. 3500 over our booked amount. During first day dinner buffet they served stale paneer. The ac of the cottage was also not working seldomly. Whenever we were coming back after sight seeing in the afternoon we saw the AC was not working. We had to follow up regularly to get the AC on. No body turned up for cleaning the room. The sanctity of the place was marred by the loud music played by the hotel authority in the lawn. It was very disturbing. One of the only positive in this property is it's location. Its indeed good and some of the service boys were only prompt in response. We tried to get in touch with MMT during g the stay but coulnot reach MMT because of mobile tower issues. They took extra charges from us for shifting from non-ac tents (mentioned as AC in MMT) to AC cottages

The property is located at a v peaceful place just in the middle of nature.food was bit spicy side so kids may feel uncomfortable. Staff was v polite and helpful. Rooms were clean n hygiene was maintained. All n all we had a very good experience there with our family.

Neat & clean accommodation, peaceful surroundings, Close to River, good food. Value for money. Need to Improve parking place.

Property is fine, location is fine. But basic amenities are not available, no basic hygiene, no electric kettle, beds are not safe for kids, broken, gate locks, no dental kit, no shaving kit, dinner is fine but breakfast is good. After 10 or later, simply denied to serve tea. Even in morning also. Tea availability is during breakfast only. Swimming pool water was also dirty. Not recommended at this price option.

The resort is on the riverside at a secluded place, away from hustle and bustle of the city. The environment is serene and gives you inner peace. The rooms were simple and ok. The food was good and the hospitality was great.

Enjoyed almost everything. Will definitely visit again. Excellent hotel in all aspects.

Negatives: 1. Room quality need to be improved. 2. During summer days its tough to spend time due to humidity. Big fans or cooler can be provided. 3. Snack time should be at 6pm instead of 8pm. 4. A bunch of drunkards were playing vulgar songs. They should have been strictly warned as there were families present. Lacking security of female visitors. 5. River should be cleaned of litters as that is the main attraction of the visitors. 6. If introduced with bike on rent, that will added advantage.

Excellent hotel, good location and we have enjoyed, lovely place, its really a good valley. I will definitely recommend to my friend and families. Next time I will come again to this place. Thank you

LOCATION: There is no signboard or direction board from Rishikesh which is 12 km away. HOSTILE MANAGEMENT: When I rang up to find the location, a person from the office of the resort came to my car and started arguing why I could not locate. After I exerted enormous pressure, he sent a boy along with my car on the condition that I should send him back in the same car. DANGEROUS APPROACH: After travelling 12 km on a bad road, we reached the resort. The resort is about 25 feet below the road but does not have stairs. There was an irregular and slippery slope on which me and my wife practically slid down. NO STAFF AT THE RESORT: There was a night watchman-like old man in shattered clothes. There was no manager, no check-in, no ID verification. I felt anybody could have check-in. The staff did not even call their office to verify who I was. I felt anybody could have walked in and stayed as a guest. UNSAFE DRINKING WATER: Bore water (not even purified by a filter) was served for drinking. RUDE WORKER: A 6-footer worker called Uday was very rude in his conversation. When I commented that no facilities are there, he was pointing at me and threatening me and asking me to shut my mouth. He was continuously engaged in talking over his Mobile and said that I am not his master. NO HOT WATER: On a river side, the weather was chilly. When we wanted hot water for Bath, he gave half a bucket and denied another. NO POWER BACK-UP: Power was lost in the midnight and we spent a few hours in dark without fan or light. We were only praying GOD for our safety. We two were the only people there in that forest that night among the workers. CALLOUS MANAGEMENT: When I went to their office and spoke, the man there answered that it would be like that. BAD PLACE, BAD PEOPLE. I do not understand how makemytrip people certified this. I want to complain in the Consumer Forum and make complaint to the district authorities.
