Every aspect of our stay at Raga on the Ganges was superior. The views were stunning. If you want to enjoy Ganga views, this is the best place. So mystical. The people - all the staff were so kind, helpful and accommodating- starting with reservations: Shubham, then Reception: Shilpa, Shubhanjali, Tushar; F&B: Gaurav, Amit, Manoj, Nishtha: and Housekeeping: Saurabh, Jay and Gokul and so many others whose names I don't even know. The food and service esp were great. Well maintained cottages and good quality toiletteries by Biotique. I went with my elderly dad and everyone there helped him whenever he needed to walk up a couple of steps and they have a golf cart for when he needed to go up to the reception area, etc. Thank you for such a wonderful 3 night stay in the outskirts of Rishikesh.

Raga on the Ganges – A Truly Magical Nature Retreat The Raga on the Ganges is an excellent property where you can genuinely connect with nature. The place is surrounded by lush flora and fauna, with many different species of birds visiting the property. There are countless varieties of plants, and the overall location is simply fabulous—perfect for nature lovers. The staff is extremely polite and respectful. They take care of every single request with great attention. I booked this property through MMT, and since it was my wife’s birthday, I had requested a special room decoration. The team decorated our room beautifully and even arranged a delicious cake for the celebration. A special thanks to Mr. Vikash Bhatt, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. My wife and I forgot our mobile chargers, and he kindly gave us his own charger for two full days. He also arranged a romantic candlelight dinner on my wife’s birthday at the Upper Deck bar—the best dinner spot in the property. The place offers stunning views, the soothing sound of the Ganga River, and perfect lighting for beautiful pictures. Even though we had booked the dinner buffet, Mr. Bhatt told us we could order anything from the à la carte menu at no extra cost. The food was really tasty and well-prepared. I would also like to thank Mr. Gurupal Singh for taking great care of us during the breakfast and dinner buffets. He made sure every single request we made was fulfilled, serving everything right to our table with a warm smile. Overall, the team made our special day even more special. My only suggestion is that the buffet spread could include a few more dishes — that would make the dining experience absolutely perfect.

Disappointing Stay — Not as Advertised My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The hotel was under construction (not mentioned during booking), which made the environment noisy and uncomfortable. Many amenities were unavailable, the water in the room was dirty, and the AC wasn’t working. Room service was poor, bedsheets weren’t changed, and overall hygiene was lacking. There was no transparency about these issues beforehand. Would not recommend staying here until major improvements are made.

It’s quite away from the city centre but the location is amazing and stay was also amazing. You will find all sort of activities here and hospitality is great. Food was delicious and rooms are also good and spacious!

Beautiful Location, But ill managed— Average stay, Not Worth the Price

This resort is located in a calm, peaceful area with stunning views — the kind of setting you'd hope for in a getaway. However, despite the location, I would not choose to stay here again. There are other resorts on the same route, like Neemrana, offering similar views and serenity — but with far better service and hospitality. The service here was disappointing. The staff seemed hardworking, but it’s clear that the management has not trained or guided them well. On arrival, no one offered a golf cart drop to our room — even though the property is vertically spread and requires a lot of uphill and downhill walking. We weren’t given any orientation or directions either, which made it confusing to navigate. In the room, the AC was leaking and the floor was wet. We had booked a double bed as a couple, but got two single mattresses pushed together, which kept sliding apart — very uncomfortable. Cleanliness outside and by the pool was another issue: The poolside lounging chairs were dirty, and dry leaves were scattered across the property. A resort of this standard should maintain its premises better — regular sweeping and upkeep are basic expectations. The pool is also falsely advertised as “temperature-controlled,” but it wasn’t.The pool timings were till 7 and the water was freezing by 5, and we couldn’t enjoy it, despite buying swimwear from them at an extra cost. Food overall was average — nothing remarkable. However, their Garhwali thali was quite good and worth trying. Also, the breakfast staff was polite and well-mannered, which was appreciated. Still, the overall experience lacked value for money. Until the management improves hospitality and basic upkeep, I would recommend considering other properties along the same route. You don’t just pay for a good view — you pay for a complete experience, and that was missing here.

His attention to detail and warm hospitality made our stay special. The food was absolutely delicious, with a variety of options to suit every palate. The resort itself was beautifully maintained—clean and well-organized. However, we were a bit disappointed with our room, which was very compact and lacked the spaciousness we had hoped for, especially considering we booked three months in advance. One of the highlights of our trip was the morning trek to the beach, which was both refreshing and rejuvenating. The spa experience, while decent, could have been better. Overall, it was a great stay with a few areas for improvement. The excellent service, food, and scenic surroundings made it a memorable trip. We’d consider coming back, hoping for a more spacious room next time.

familyPathetic and this hotel is not even worth for the pricing they have mentioned. Rooms are very basic and poorly maintained. Dinner and breakfast buffet has limited spread. Near to pool they don’t have any staff and no towels are even kept. Swimming pool is dirty with sand inside it. Never even cleaned up. Their sandwich does not have proper fillings. Food is very mediocre

What an amazing property, absolutely loved the stay, food, service and ambience. Very peaceful and calm away from hustle and bustle of city life.
