Special place and very memorable!

Second time staying here and the experience was special as the first. This time we stayed in the Rose suite (last time was in the Rhododendron Suite) and it was great for our family of four. Service was excellent throughout. Just a note though is that the room windows open out into the front of the hotel where all the cars are parked. So if there are a lot of cars, it will restrict your view of the valley. At night when it’s less crowded, the valley looks beautiful. Emily’s is an excellent restaurant and we ate dinner there multiple times. I love the location of the hotel as well as we did a lot of hikes and trails without having to go anywhere. A word of caution though (nothing to do with the hotel): this place is tricky to drive to and sometimes cab drivers say no to going there because they are afraid there may be jams. But we didn’t face anything of that sort on weekdays. Do with this info what you will :).

Even for an extensive traveller like me, and as little as a one night stay at rokeby manor, has become a memory that i would cherish for the rest of my life. 1. Ambiance- its out of a fictional old english novel. Clean, cozy yet rustic and charming. It looks like corner has a story to tell. Tea garden is exotic. Lobby with library with books for all age groups is rare and awesome. 2. Food- complimentary welcome coffee was wonderful. Hot chocolate is the yummiest i ever had. Buffet breakfast is delicious. Burgers to palak pane-er to lachha paratha- everything was par excellence. 3. Staff- very courteous, attentive and always available. Mr. Pramod, the relationship manager, took personal care of us to help us with all our requests and questions. He also personally drove us to and from landour bakehouse. Hotel provides complimentary transfers to nearby places which is great. Only negative point was my unawareness about additional payment and booking for the hot water jacuzzi which i thought was complimentary. However, weather was so cold that i decided to drop the idea. The walk in landour is the most romantic and wonderful experience ever. Don't miss it!
