It is a beautiful house boat with all essential amenities. A homely environment. Mr Hilal's hospitality is commendable. I strongly recommend this beautiful house boat.

When I booked Badyari Palace houseboat for 6 nights stay, I was a bit sceptical. But overall experience became memorable. From landing on Dal lake boulevard.... to taking a shikara ride to the Houseboat to the delicious breakfast and dinner to the beautiful view of the mountain beyond lake from houseboat, to the 1 hr shikara ride and most importantly companionship with caretaker Mr. Hilal (who went much beyond what is expected).... we enjoyed every single aspect thoroughly. I found it quite strange that most other guest were staying just for a night... probably because of the bad travel packages made by travel agencies. Recommendation : Minimum 2 nights stay is essential to get the real feel of staying in houseboat. Some improvements are definitely needed in general. 1. The gap between two houseboats is less. So noise from adjacent boats residents can sometimes cause trouble. 2. Sound insulation between two rooms of a houseboat needs improvement. 3. There can be privacy issues between guests as there are 4 separate rooms on a boat with 4 different families. All said and done. Its definitely a lifetime experience and highly recommended.

Property location was good. Breakfast was not good. Rooms are quite small and not that clean. In general, houseboats are not recommended for stay.

The stay at badyari palace was wonderful and comfortable. The houseboat itself is beautiful and the staff esp. The manager mr. Hill is doing a wonderful job. We travel-led with small kids and he made sure we had a pleasant stay and all the requirements with kids are met. I recommend to visit the houseboat to everyone and in fact do plan to stay at the same place in our next visit to srinagar.

Definitely recommended to stay in this houseboat. Hilal ji is one of the best in class guide and knowledgeable person. He is always helpful and kind. Made our stay comfortable.

The boat manager, hill is very professional and made our stay very comfortable. The boat is very well maintained, neat and beautifully done. I highly recommend you pick this if you intend to stay in a houseboat. Please don't expect any views from windows as the boat is stationed and you will find all boats next to each other. However, when you sit out, you will have views of the lake.

We had a wonderful stay here with family. Spacious room and cozy beds. Pure authentic style design. Special thanks to hillal bhai who is the care taker of the property. Found one person in entire kashmir who never asked for a tip. Very humble and always ready to help in every aspect.

The manager of the houseboat was very cordial and helpful. Great decor. Locks of the rooms and washrooms should be repaired.
