Before booking any house boat, do proper research. And make mind that you really want to stay in house boat ( ideally doesn't necessary). The house boat we selected ( this one ) was very foul smelling inside the room and sewage pipe was exactly outside the one and only window. There is no other ventilation option. We feel like we sentenced one day of kala pani punishment. And most of the house boat are much inside the dal lake. So do proper research. And if possible call the owner before booking for any query and available facilities.

The houseboat was really good. Rooms were clean. Our caretaker was very nice. He was always standing by us asking for anything we require n specially the owner of the houseboat mr. Altaf is also a very nice person.

It is an excellent houseboat l stay at srinagar. Staffs are very polite and cooperative. Foods are very good with varieties. Rooms are specious. The most amazing part in house boat is a/c in summer and heating in winter. The bathrooms are also under the system. With my family, friends, even alone stayed there for too many times.

The "floating heritage group of houseboat's " stay was excellent. The rooms were well maintained, lit up and kept clean. We enjoyed the dinner and breakfast which was served well on time. I will definitely recommend the stay here. It was an amazing experience to live in a houseboat.

A very thoughtfully designed place, with all the amenities, gives you privacy. While being in the beautiful dal lake which i personally feel better than the other lake areas. The person who abides and is the owner of the property has been a wonderful host for sure. 24 hours room heater, electricity, bathtub, hot water, great service in the room. It’s just 4 rooms in the houseboat and one dining room and a beautiful living room. The food was good and the room service is better than good hotels in the srinagar area. A special plus point is the caretaker, mr. Salim and maqbool uncle. They win you over with their charming behavior. Goes out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. Their presence is a big positive about this place. Great value for money. Would highly recommend, one of the best and safe place. Overall awesome stay.

First we reached the houseboat. The houseboat looked good from outside and we were happy. But then issues started the room which appeared to be good from the photos was very small and narrow and not even clean. Then we asked for a welcome drink which was part of our package but they refused it very rudely. Then we asked for toiletries and dental kit as mentioned they refused for that too. Now, comes the part of food we had two different bookings for two families but they were considering us as a single unit. For 6 people they have given very less amount of food and when we ask for more they denied this is what u will get. When asked for salad they again refused but when i call the owner they have given one plate of salad but shouted at me that why i called owner. Then we asked for sweets and they refused for that too. Then we asked for mouth freshener they refused for that too and we argued they gave literally (2 daane of sauf) this made us shout at them but nothing doing. The same story goes for breakfast also. So, be careful while booking this property you might end up getting frustrated and ruining your experience. One last thing, there are a lot of mosquitoes in the houseboat which is quite obvious but to tackle that there is no provision for that and you might end up fighting with mosquitoes all night.

It was pretty fine for what i paid.

It was never mentioned that it was a houseboat.

Nice location for one night stay.

Had a worst bitter experience. No proper care taker in boat house. Hot water is provided only one time in the morning. If you ask next time they will give you in bucket. You can't use washroom properly. No drain point available in washroom. No charging points available in room number 101. Very expensive and not worth for money. My kind advice not to book this house boat and waste your time and money. At last very rude staff.
