Location is superb, for from hustle and bustle, service was nice, enjoyed our stay very well.

It was pleasant stay in the houseboat with the hospitality by the owner himself was superb. The food was like home made which we liked because of our age factor.

review for new buckingham palace group of houseboats i recently had the pleasure of staying at the new buckingham palace group of houseboats in the beautiful city of srinagar, kashmir, and i can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. from the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. the staff were warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. the houseboat itself was a perfect blend of traditional kashmiri charm and modern comforts. the intricate wooden carvings, elegant decor, and cozy interiors truly made it feel like a royal retreat. the views from the houseboat were breathtaking, offering a serene panorama of dal lake and the surrounding mountains. it was the perfect setting to relax and unwind. the food was another highlight — delicious, authentic kashmiri dishes prepared with great care and flavor. the staff ensured that every aspect of our stay was seamless, from arranging shikara rides to providing local tips for exploring srinagar. their attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction made the experience truly five-star. if you’re looking for a unique and luxurious stay in srinagar, the new buckingham palace group of houseboats is the perfect choice. i highly recommend it and will definitely be returning for another visit. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Suit room with private balcony. Hb is nice, good & clean decorated room with scenic nigeen lake. Staff behavior is very welcoming. Worth it.

Captain ha-meed and his team are very cordial and professionals. They took great care of us so that nothing is missed. The location of the houseboat is such that one can access it from the road and yet you can have the serene looks of the nigeen lake on the other side of the houseboat. The houseboat is practically on the walking distance from the sikar stand and in the close proximity of the delicious eateries. It's a small cozy world of paradise and tranquility one can find.

I'm a frequent traveler, and I generally don't write reviews. But the sheer disaster this property is has forced me to write one to warn my fellow travelers. Stay away from this property if you don't want to have your trip ruined. The owner of this property is a pompous, senile, arrogant and insolent man who, for some reason thinks he is above the paying travelers who pay to stay in his houseboat. You're asked to take off your shoes the moment you enter the houseboat, but the owner can walk into your room with his shoes on. When I asked him, he said 'I'm the boss. I can do anything here.' That's the level of his arrogance. He calls himself 'Capt Hameed', and perhaps mistakenly believes that he's the Captain of his houseboat and the paying customers are his sub-ordinates instead of guests. Food - The houseboat doesn't have any facility for food. Security - Zero. The rooms in the houseboat don't lock. So, when you go outside, anyone - other guests or staff or outsiders even can get into your room! All your stuff is at the mercy of God. Maintenance - There's only one staff available at the property. Nothing is done for bugs either. There were other issues as well. Which, if I go into details, would extend into pages. All I would suggest to my fellow travellers is that avoid this property actively. Or it will ruin your trip. Just like it ruined ours.

We went for a one night to have heritage houseboat experience paying hefty amount. However, it turned out to be very dis-satisfactory. House boat dining area is too small for 3 bedrooms. There is no live kitchen in-house but have a kitchen in another boat. The cook is reluctant to make anything extra. We faced hard time ordering everything through swiggy as it was raining heavily. They do not have any electric kettle or hot plate to warm water or food. Houseboat dosent have inverter for emergency lights however has a generator facility which was put off around 11pm making entire boat in pitch dark, while other nearby houseboats had lights. Rooms are spacious and have good decor but to our utmost disappointment, the so called suite room with balcony, the balcony was closed for some renovation work and we could not enjoy the view. The tariff was really not worth for such incomplete and dissatisfied experience.

Good, spacious, and clean. We canceled two houseboats before booking this one and that turned out to be a good decision. It is situated in nigeen lake, very peaceful and less crowded than dal lake. In dal lake the view is filled with 1000s of people, you cant sit and relax outside. Our captain took care of all our needs, they provided delicious dinner and breakfast. Our helper mumtaz is also a good humble guy, no attitude, nothing. Loved the stay. I would suggest to stay at least for 2 nights here.

We had a great experience. The owner mr. Captain ha-meed has given us a royal suite although we have booked 02 deluxe rooms which is a rare experience. The service was 100/100. Also, they have arranged a shikara ride for us at the cheapest possible rate in the nigeen lake through hardship. I would like to thank the authority specially the owner. I would highly recommend to stay here.

Houseboat is beautiful, calm and peaceful. It is at nigeen lake better than dal lake. Breakfast was on time and reasonably good.

It’s one of the worst place i’ve stayed at the cost i paid. I booked a suit room. Even railway bathroom is better than this. Multiple times power issues. And food is even worse. You’ll find better food is government hostel or railway platform.

Stayed for one night experience was terrible. Situated in ghat no 2, this houseboat is very old and unclean. For the price charges services offered are nil. Not even a bottle of water was provided. Was shivering at night due to cold and i asked if any electric blanket or heater is there, they said its summer season so they do not have. Had to walk one kilometre to get drinking water. Highly not recommended at all. Very spooky at night and its located nearby a ground which is very dirty. Please stay away from booking this property. Terrible

My stay was very pleasant and the view from here was very spectacular. Mr. Captain and mr. Wajid are very helpful and kind.

The houseboat is located in nigeen lake and has great view. You can look at hari fort from the boat. From the roof of houseboat, we can enjoy view of mountains too. The owner is very helpful and took care of all the demands we made. Breakfast even for vegetarians was available and very well served. I would rate my experience to be very good. Highly recommended.

The location is excellent surrounded by panoramic scenic view and around nigeen lake. The houseboat is a very cosy place to stay with round the clock service of top grade. Loved staying there and if one needs home away from home, the new bucking-am houseboat is the place to stay.
