It was a good experience being here. we got a warm welcome from the host and the service was good. However there is always a scope for Improvement.

Great hotel! friendly staff, comfy rooms, and delicious food. Enjoyed my stay and would recommend it.

Rooms are neat and clean. But the only problem faced that, there was frequent power failure and no water heater available at that time. We can stay in a neat and clean atmosphere but the water heater does not work because of the power failure. Otherwise it's good.

Far from prime location, no or little access to nearest market. Room not comfortable and clean but satisfactory. Room service is satisfactory. People are very friendly and helpful. Very good food. Overall at cheap price you can't expect more.

We booked 3 rooms for 3 nights. The sheets were dirty. The blankets smelled. A towel was given for only one room. The hosts didn't make an effort to make us feel welcome. On the day of the departure, the host tried to embarrass me for not tipping them.

If you're going to visit Srinagar, keep in mind, The journey from Jammu to Srinagar is so horrible. It took me 26 hours to complete a 10 hours journey. But after that, all you're going to speak about is how beautiful your days were. Shafeeq Guest house is near the Old Bridge near Jawahar Nagar and it is not that beautiful location but you know even the worst part of Kashmir looks better than the most of India. I promise you that your stay here will be really wonderful, I promise. People in the hotel are so friendly. But everything in this universe have a flaw, so does this guest house, please, I beg you please don't take the hotel food. It's really not something you'll even be able to eat. Not at all good, no, not even near to what we call good. If you're staying here, I suggest, please take food from a hotel nearby named Hat trick. It's budget friendly and good. But remove food and you'll not have a single problem.
The location was pretty good and the room was well maintained. The owner, manager is really friendly. One thing I'll like to suggest you, please take the food from the shop near you because they provide the horrible food.
