Average Stay
The overall experience was quite average. The property is old and clearly not well-maintained, which takes away from its potential. With better upkeep and improved service, this could actually be a decent place to stay. One major inconvenience was that the room phone wasn’t working, so there was no way to contact the reception directly. Service was also slow—ordering anything took a considerable amount of time to be delivered. If you’re just looking for a place to sleep without expecting much in terms of amenities or service, then it might be fine. On the positive side, the staff were polite and helpful when approached—no complaints about their attitude or behavior. However, the property definitely needs better maintenance and a serious upgrade in service standards.

British Victorian era hotel with chocolate factor
Amazing stay, this needs exploring of its own, has a chapel, a living room, british Victorian era rooms , very cozy, an old library likely was a christian missionary school once, has a chocolate factory of its own which was the authentic one and great number of flowers all around, very very cold that day made it even more good of an experience staff was very very friendly the amenities were enough , and a lot of bedspace , 3 people can easily sleep in 1 room, the bathroom is not attached but isn't a big problem either A victorian style chair and table is also present in the room, the room is long too A chimney is also there for winters id believe if someone from ywca is reading this we were the kolkata folks, and we enjoyed it very much

it was fine, it was very cold during the night so could have provided a kettle. the bathroom as well only has not water during 6 am - 10 am

Excellent Stay
YWCA is a well maintained old property located in a prime location and it offers very good service to the customers. Good parking facility and Restuarant is also available. We enjoyed a lot.

summer stay 2025
it is near to railway station and bus stand of ooty. it is pleasant to stay.. no noise and disturbance .. bungalow room i took , can stay four adult in that room. more spacious.. hot water available from mrng 5.30am to 10.00am .room service is good. kept clean . car parking is there. having restaurant in YWCA HOMESTAY. food ordering to room is not available.play area is is there.nice stay for me. roo rent is high in online booking, due to summer

Peaceful stay with ample greenery inside the property.
Room- Stayed in the Lower Cottage. Though the room is old but spacious and well maintained. Food- Average, need to work on their menu a bit. Amenities - Neetly maintained roads, restaurant and complex. A lot of open areas to go for a stroll and enjoy the weather of Ooty.

Nice ambience and stay, but...
We thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance, vintage room bungalow, restaurant, and services at this place. It’s definitely a must-visit destination. However, we encountered a minor issue: a rat sound that emanated from the wooden roof during the night. Unfortunately, it disrupted our sleep and made it difficult for us to relax. Addressing this rat problem would make the stay even more appealing.

Excellent Stay
The location was superb as it is in the centre of Ooty town. We could see the Ooty town by walk and get back to the room easily. The service was also superb. The old rooms were well maintained, neat and clean with hot water facilities. Very much satisfied.

The stay at YWCA Anandagiri was pathetic. No staff came to clean washroom (which by the way was not attached to the room) or change bedsheets. The room was old and damaged and water jugs and other cutlery were damaged too. Resturant staff was rude and unprofessional not just to us but to other guests as well. Definetly not worth spending a penny at this place. Dead vibe place.

Average Stay
Ywca anandgiri was located in middle of city on ettines road so location is good, had ample parking space as well, bed was small in length compared to 6 ft person, cleanliness was okay, for warm water kettle was not there so had to ask warm water each time from reception. Restaurant had both veg and non veg options so couldn't eat. Overall average stay with few things which can be improved also i stayed in bungalow which cost 2500 per person if you book directly but mmt charged me 3k per night which is 500 more per night.

Decent just about.
Stay was excellent. Staff decent and submissive. Food was also excellent. In nut shell a decent experience. Recommend to everyone please. Merry christmas celebration in ooty ywca guest house, ootcamund nilgiris. Just beware, there are no heaters in any of the rooms. And they have fire places with no wood. Enjoy!
