I recently stayed here and while the service and cleanliness were truly top-notch, the overall experience didn’t quite meet my expectations for the price I paid.
The food wasn’t great, and since I didn’t enjoy the in-house meals, I often had to walk down to MG Marg to eat — which became tiring after a point.
I had booked their best room, but was disappointed to find no balcony or open seating areas. There was only a window, which made it hard to enjoy the beautiful mountain surroundings. As someone who visits the hills to slow down, watch the clouds roll in, and sip coffee with a view — that felt like a missed opportunity.
The Jacuzzi was clean and a nice touch, but it would’ve been much better with transparent glass to enjoy the view. Without that, it felt like just another indoor experience.
On the positive side, the staff was exceptionally polite and helpful, and the property is quiet, well-maintained, and overlooks MG Marg and Kanchenjunga. If your plan is to head out for sightseeing during the day and return just to rest, this hotel may suit you well.
But if you’re someone who values open spaces, scenic views, and long hours spent soaking in the calm of the mountains, the place might not offer that immersive experience.
