Very well maintained property and rooms, gardens are excellent and well mannered staffs...It's in heart of the city which is very close to botanical garden and to he doddeabetta peak it is only 1 km....Nice choice for the family.

The room provided was not properly clean.. the wardrobe and other furniture was old and worn out in the name of heritage. We had issue with no supply of hot water😒 The location is close to main market and outside garden is good.

The location of property next to usually busy road to Connor. It has ample parking space ...There is one restaurant inside the property with Non veg speciality incase you are super hungry and want to give it a try. The room allocated to us was as per booking but there is a catch - they mentioned that the stay for kids is free but they still charged INR 500 per day towards extra bed....This is something very strange .The Reception manager was not found friendly towards the concerns reported as if he is least bothered. Even they charged extra for Heater 500 per day extra and that can be understood ...The rooms are more of heritage rooms with no AC or fans . The reception manager is not found at his place even when a call is made at 7 am . I would rate the overall family stay experience as Average

The Grange Hotel What are you expecting? If you want a good hotel room with good room service then no this place is not for that. If you are looking for a heritage kind of room and in the best location in Ooty then yes this place is good. We stayed for 2 nights and days in the room facing the parking :( with parking view instead of garden view. NOT Value for Money, we paid per night during Diwali holiday. Pros: The external look is like a typical old colonial British house with a well maintained garden. Good for heritage photography. Located in main city on the main road. - Bathroom looks fancy contemporary and clean Cons: -No room service - power cuts - no in house restaurant ( they have junior kuppanna, which is a separate entity in the campus but they don't deliver to the room and they don't have any snacks to deliver, it's typical authentic tamil kongu nadu cuisine - hot water was a big issue, it was after requesting that we got someone to repair and get hot water - Bedding is pretty average to low quality, not worth the price. - room is not maintained and not so clean and congested. Be clear that you won't get a typical hotel service and facility if you are visiting this hotel. You will only get fancy heritage look and great convenience location not a view location.

The stay was amazing and peaceful the staffs were soo helpful and polite the cottage vibe gives the whole ooty experience the food from the nearby restaurant was also delicious. Within the centre and shopping area. Neat and clean. Very friendly and cooperative staff. Good atmosphere and ambiance

Location is good but very average hotel in terms of interiors and service, except parking everything was ordinary, not suggested.

We had booked “cottage” category room in grange hotel upon reaching the hotel, we were showed our room and we were not all all satisfied with the room as it was completely different from what was shown in the pictures while booking. The front desk team denied to change our rooms. Few mins later, we realized that the washroom was filled with “worms”, informed the front desk team but nothing was done to fix it. Overall an unpleasant stay, not recommended until these issues are fixed.

It was a short family trip, very clean and cosy place to stay. The staff were very helpful, they spoke hindi as well as english, which made communication very easy. Plenty of space to park freely within the hotel premises, walkable distance to the main market, absolute value for money.

This was my first trip as a family. The 3 of us, my 6 month old daughter, my wife and myself checked into the hotel at around 7pm. The first thing you notice about the hotel is its close proximity to nearby markets. Having travel-led thoroughly both professionally as well as personally in north east india, i know a thing or two about hotels, having stayed from 7 star hotels to dingy and rickety rooms. The moment i entered the hotel premise, i got confused by an absence of hotel staff. There was no uniformed security person. When i reached reception, it was a single man at the counter. After checking in, we were shown to the room where we carried our luggage with help of our driver. It was very cold at that time. The hotel has no air conditioning. When we asked for room heater, it was available for 500’per day. We took it it was cold for our baby. Feeling hungry, when we inquired about room service, we were told that we need to pay at in house restaurant, collect the bill, give the bill at reception and food will be delivered to our room. We did as advised. At night, i didn’t feel safe. There were guests at two ends of the front corridor who kept talking till late night. The main door to the corridor kept hitting itself due to the wind. We passed the night. Next day at evening, we checked out of the hotel and shifted to the gem-park ooty. I checked out 1. 5 days earlier. As bills were already paid, i didn’t bother complaining.

We enjoyed staying in Grange hotel. This is heritage and nice property. It’s located in Ooty center. You can access easily everything and go anywhere in 5-10 minutes. Nearby shopping and nice other restaurants. breakfast not upto mark. But you can have tiffins in same road in other restaurants.

Location: very practical, convenient, in the centre of the city. No views but the hotel has a heritage vibe and the well maintained gardens, lawns flowers make up for the lack of mountain or valley view. Rooms: clean, have vintage looking furniture. No lockers but only a drawer which cud be latched. We carried out valuables so dint have a problem but if u want to keep in hotel u may need to ask for key. Kettle, milk, tea n coffe powders, sugar packets available. Bathrooms: decent. They do clean regularly but some smell is there despite impeccable cleaning. They do provide soap n shampoo. 24 hr hot water available. Heater available at extra charge. We did not need it though. The biggest negative is they don't have their own kitchen. There is a restaurant in their campus but it functions independently. So early morning milk or early breakfast on day of departure etc needs to be managed from outside. The reception people do help for the same. The restaurant is very famous so lots of crowd wil come for restaurant. Waiting is there often. However, the property is well managed. They have small but beautiful gardens, a small play area and a bonfire arrangment too. So, if u want a hotel with heritage feel in the heart of the city this is the place to be. All major tourist attractions in the ooty city are close to this place. Also good restaurants, market area are all very close by.

Location is good and city centre. They didn't provide food, no internet connection, no laundry service. Very noisy due to staff and other guests.

Location was pretty good close to botanical garden and rose garden. But no complimentary breakfast available but there is junior kuppana hotel which us always crowded. But there are good restaurants nearby walkable distance. Coming to the hotel, rooms and bathrooms were spacious and good. No wifi when i stayed otherwise the stay was good

It was an excellent location, right in the heart of ooty. We arrived quite late however were received well and shown straight to o it room. Hot water is freely available and workers are courteous and friendly

The stay is good. The only issue is that restaurants under their premises need to be there control. They waited for the table for 15 minutes & then said @ 09:15 pm that food is finished. When i shared the incident to the hotel manager @ that time he said we don't have control on hotel. But on next day they make arrangement for breakfast for few guests

Located in middle of the city, but slightly inside the road, even google not showing this properly. All amenities are good, we don't try food at this place.

Room provided was not as expected. While the rooms were cleaned up next day, basic things like water, tea bags, creamer, cups etc were not replaced. Discomforting mattress, it was too thick. Though property was okay, stay wasn't reassuring.

A luxurious and green stay at ootty. Its a cottage type hotel with a garden in itself with lots of flowers
