Room on lower floor, just near the reception counter
familyOn booking time, i had requested and mentioned that room should be on upper floors but inspite of that, they gave us room on ground floor near the reception. Rooms were vacant there in upper storey also. It was not worth for so much money. Food was of lower standard and moreover very small in quantity in comparison to the rate.

Dear Mohinder Pal singh Sir, We would like to thank you for your feedback on your stay at fernhill Resort Chail , which allows us to better define our areas of improvement for our future guest. Mr. Mohinder we are sorry that you left Fernhill resort with dissatisfaction and we hope that the following clarification might help you in understanding the points as below : 1) Sir you booked your stay on 23rd late evening at 11:43 pm and moreover it was so no one from our resort had a word with you or committed you rooms on higher floor moreover when you arrived on 24th June it was Saturday , June weekend so all the rooms were already allotted and we did not have the availability of the rooms on higher floor but at the time of your check in other guest were suppose to come so we felt sorry that we couldn’t give you the rooms on the higher floor. Mohinder Pal sir we are happy to support our guest on case to case basis and sir there is hardly any difference of view from ground , first or second floor it is entirely a mindset that there is difference in view from floors , with open valley and lush green jungle view from each Valley view room. 2) Sir our food standard in term of taste and hygiene is above the normal level and moreover we had offered you the buffet breakfast but in keeping the price constrain in mind you took ala-crate and as you were 3 adults and you yourself selected the food menu and our dishes are of standard as per hotel industry as dishes are common for all major resort/ hotels so your anticipation for the food volume was of some road side Punjabi eatery ,Sir as chail is a offbeat place and food cost is always on higher side so we have to keep in mind the portion size which is as per the normal standards of hotel industry. Sir the concept of ala-crate is not suitable for all type of guest so for that reason we have buffet options also. 3) The most important part is that our rates are dynamic and keep on changing and you came at the peak season , so we have not offered any discounted as demanded by you , so you are writing negative about the location giving it low star for which in your own review you are writing you wanted to be on higher floor , if it was not good at all as per your review then why to ask for higher floor. Hope you understand that resort in hill operate differently during peak season and off season days. Regarding food and services
This resort is completely useless food and useless services. The prices of food is so expensive. My experience with this resort most useless stay ever. If you going to please think again

Now we understand Sir that you would have found food expensive for this reason only you had nothing with us on ala-crate for your dinner or snacks and moreover you booked your room with buffet breakfast . Excellent location and service
familyResort is located at excellent location with great valley view. Famous kali temple is viewed directly from room balconies. You can take a great view of the temple specially in morning and night from resort. Food was amazing and the staff service was up to the mark. Will definitely come back to this resort. Thtfor all excellent services you guys provide.

We went chsil just for a pleasure trip. Did not realize it is off season and cannot control nature. It rain led and got cold. Have no complaints on any kind of food or service.

Living with nature
Had a wonderful stay in the lap of nature. The property is very well located in keno village away from the disturbance of chail. Very close to kali tibia temple. I enjoyed walking in the area. One can even walk up to the temple. Rooms are very spacious, with continuous warm water supply. Staff was courteous and food was delicious. My son enjoyed the games and we played table tennis and did cycling too. The cycles were also well maintained. Overall the stay was a perfect one. I am looking forward to visiting this place again. Highly recommended for nature lovers. Owner of the property is also very friendly.

Decent getaway
Wow for the room, location, view. Tasty food served quickly. Reasonably priced and allowed our pet too. Right next to the road with private parking. Overall a decent getaway with family. Chail is a must visit place. Do also visit kali temple (can view it from hotel room on hill top.

Worth it
The place is just exactly where you want to be if you wanna rest and have a couple of drinks later. The staff will make you feel welcomed and are always just a call away. One of the best hotels ever.
