Review Of Hotel Dar-Es-Salam

Our stay at the Hotel Dar-es-Salaam was nothing short of spectacular! It’s a gorgeous property on the banks of Nishat Lake, the quiet and more peaceful side of the Dal lake. The garden is adorned with beautiful flowers and the Chinar tree has my heart! The food was home cooked and local delicacies, and very very nice. We also got a private Shikara ride from the hotel to Dal lake and it was an amazing experience

Hotel location is just great. Hotel gardens are excellent and clean. Property is old and could do with renovation. The food is lousy and service is slow and the staff is unqouth. I would not recommend this hotel.

The location garden and views of the hotel are simply divine. The facilities food and service was awful! the food looked and tasted stale and there was a reluctance to even get more tea was awful and very very disappointing. Despite the gorgeous views i would not recommend my friends to stay here.

Gorgeous old family home on the bankx oc nigeen lake. The garden is a horticultural delight. The staff us courteous dand the rooms spacious. Don't miss an evening boat ride on the lake to enjoy the birds abed the glosting garden

Old beautiful building on the bank of nag-in lake has been converted into a hotel. Beautiful view. Awesome interiors full of kashmiri furniture & antique items. Authentic kashmiri cuisine for buffet dinner. Great hospitality. Overall great stay.

Location, food and services are great. The ambience is amazing. The large grounds are surrounded by lakes on 2 sides and the preperty is really well kept. It is only a bit far from the town so one has to have a taxi.

Our stay was very comfortable. It's a classic building and architecture. The rooms had good heating and were comfortable. Fresh flowers were kept in the common areas. The staff were courteous. The buffet dinner and breakfast were good. The garden and lawn had a good view of the lake which could be enjoyed better in spring and summer.

Great location ! Beautiful garden !! Front lawns and sitting outside along the lake was lovely! Food average. Rooms good size n comfy! Approach thru crowded city roads is a pain 😅

If you're looking for a perfect and peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of srinagar traffic. Dear es salaam is the place to be. The property is much more than the perfectly manicured garden and lawn. I've never met such warm, welcoming and considerate staff in a commercial establishment. The quality has scope for improvement in terms of select fixtures but is better than most. The food authentic, the ambiance relaxing, there's plenty for all. Nigeen lake is the cake on the cherry. Take a shikara from right off the lawn to a breathtaking journey across the entire lake. You have to be there to know. Do don't doubt just book it.

The location can’t be better - just spectacular. Service / staff is good - eager to please and never say no to anything. Food quality is reasonably good - the negative is that they don’t serve a-la carte meals. Room sizes are reasonable but they need better maintenance - for example broken door knobs, cracked mugs, jammed door lock etc - very minor stuff and not much expense to rectify, but these things do matter. Few extra amenities would also help - like i asked for a hot water bottle but they didn’t have one.

Classic house with a beautiful garden overlooking nigeen lake. Pretty lawns and nice views from rooms. Kitchen is excellent and so is service. Meals with several courses and with kashmiri recipes. Staff most polite and helpful. Internet alsoworked.

The property has a beautiful garden and is next to the lake. Good place to hang with family. Lot of sitting rooms with awesome furniture great food and amazing service. Had some very good kashmiri dishes. They only have buffet options which they should consider changing
