The Cottage Nigeen | Rooms & Caretaker

Cottage Nigeen is nothing short of an Enchanting stay. Located in the middle of the city but still away from its hustle and bustle. It hosts a library with comfortable couches where you can snuggle with your cup of coffee and read or look outside into their charming little garden and settle into a daydream. The rooms are cozy and neat. The meals are homely and light on your tummy. The menu is fixed in choices and timings. The staff are cooperative, prompt and kind. Loved this charming homestay!

My experience is really great. The housekeeping staff and caretakers are really great. I would suggest this place over any other.

Its a home stay not hotel. Room was so congested, difficult to move. The entry point of area is narrow, food was just palatable.

It is a lovely cottage with aesthetic interior. The hosts and caretakers are very helpful and make your stay more enjoyable. The food is delicious and they have a lovely park too. I will definitely book it again for my next trip to srinagar.

It’s a very cute cottage. Complete kashmiri style decor. Very sweet and helpful caretaker. Clean washroom only thing that was little troublesome was frequent cuts in the electricity

Location is inconvenient, people are nice, comfort is lacking, food is tasty! residence is like a house ! not a hotel look

There were frequent electricity cuts and the temperature outside has been above 25 degree plus which made it even more inconvenient. Plus with the price that a customer pays you only get either a pratha or bread butter for breakfast which i don't think is justifiable. Water was served in house bottles instead of packed water bottles which i was not okay with. In the description it was mentioned it's a minute walk to dal lake while in reality it was km's away from dal lake. The property ambience however was nice. But i would rather suggest people to go for a hotel than this cottage.

Pleasant and peaceful stay with very cooperative staff. Owner was very helpful. Location is in prime area. Food is so good and very tasty. The experience in this home stay is like homely. Interior of this home stay is spellbound. I would strongly recommend anyone to stay in this hotel without second thought

We were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality at this property located bang at nigeen lake and the excellent support provided by the host and staff alike! we loved aashiq's help and advice throughout the stay and are deeply indebted to the host to accommodate our requests at the last moment ) highly recommended for an authentic kashmiri home experience and a serene stay in a city thronged by tourists!

Was there for 5 days . Excellent location- next to Nigeen lake . Close to all the Srinagar attractions. Wake up to the sweet chatter of sparrow s Beautifully maintained house. Like a real home stay. Beautifully decorated interiors, very friendly team to take care . Mr Ashiq was the leader of the team. Not to forget the beautiful garden. Systemic well planned approach . Family says we will go there again

Garden and rooms are out standing… Very comfy place… Unfortunately food is super disappointing. Breakfast don’t even opt and even dinner is just average. It’s too pricy also. They should have taken good care of food… other wise for stay it’s great but food is bad… go with family and kids it’s good
