The place is well-located, rooms clean and well-furnished, and the staff is more than willing to help with anything you might need. A staff member went to the city centre to get a cake for a birthday celebration and delivered it to the room exactly at midnight with a smile. The balconies open to the lush garden which is serene and free of noise.
The absence of an in-house restaurant is a major disadvantage, particularly as the location is such that there are only small tea-stalls and low-end eateries serving snacks in a 1-km radius. We knew about it from other reviews so didn't order food in the room, so can't comment on the quality.
While there were no hassles otherwise, it would be great if the communication by the manager was more clear, as we had specifically requested a room on the upper floors repeatedly, but the manager neither confirmed nor denied their availability until we had reached. Upon check-in, we were told that those rooms were available, but for a higher tariff.
What's great: Calm surroundings, courteous staff, amenities in place, clean and maintained rooms, relatively inexpensive as compared to other places
What could be improved: Food in the hotel, greater clarity about the rooms on the website and their listing on other sites, and a more proactive manager would make it a great stay.
