The property was great to stay, the calamari tandoori fish and roti was out of the world. I will definitely visit the place again with my friends and family

Amazing stay. The place is quite,calm and peaceful. It is in the main city centre so everything is accessible. Staff are codial and helpful

The room was extremely small—essentially just a bed with barely any space to move around. It felt very congested and lacked proper ventilation, making the stay uncomfortable. The air conditioning didn’t work properly either, which only made things worse. For the price being charged, the room was far below expectations. One would expect a much more spacious, well-ventilated, and better-maintained room at this rate. Additionally, the restaurant charges 18% GST on food, which seems unusually high. It’s unclear why such a steep tax is being applied, especially when most dining establishments typically charge 5% or 12%, depending on the service type. Overall, the experience did not justify the price, and I would not recommend it based on my stay.

I recently stayed at dune de lorient and loved its 18th-century charm and french heritage feel. The elegant architecture and serene atmosphere were perfect for relaxation. Conveniently located (in white town) near the city’s attractions, it was ideal for exploring. The staff’s warm and attentive service made my stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for a unique and historic experience!

Stayed there for two nights in nova 24, in the ground floor, since all its windows open in the courtyard which has seating of its only restaurant means u can't open the windows and little privacy, no balcony, very small washroom, it does give a old french feeling with high beds but it may get boring if travel-ling with kids, once u enter ground floor rooms it feels like u entering a dungeon, one may find the seepage smell since there is no cross ventilation, telephones in room don't work, mobile signal is also bleak inside room though wifi of hotel works fine, some electric sockets have sparking issue since they probably want to maintain the heritage feeling, the lady at the reception quotes rs 4500 for chennai airport drop whereas another guy in the hotel quotes rs 3800- which takes away the reliability part of the hotel, good thing is the food which is freshly prepared and is good and the location which is 2 lanes away from beach in the centre of white town

It's an old french style villa. The reception and staff are courteous. Will recommend. Breakfast not that elaborate but they gave enough

Not worth for the amount spent. I have spent more than rs 10000 per night without even a good wifi facilitt and a tv in room.

We found the rooms very clean. Staff was helpful and polite. This home stay was so serene calm and peaceful that we enjoyed every single minute being there. It is exactly in white town, rock beach is at walking distance. Lots of cafe are around. Amazing stay! loved it.

An excellent property which maintained all standards of hygiene and cleanliness. It was a heritage house belonging to french era. Living in this heritage beauty was like reliving the history. Located in white town, the property was very close to rock beach. One could walk around the old streets leisurely. The food they served was excellent.

For a place that charges you 13k plus per night, you would at least expect a decent room. This was not even decent. The arcot room was extremely small, had no windows so no ventilation. While the ac could be operated on full blast it did nothing to curb the dingy and wet smell which is usual in coastal towns. You cannot call a stay a “colonial french experience” just by stuffing some odd vintage furniture in a room. On top of it, there was no network in the room and the wifi was so weak that we could barely use it. The food options at chaiz france are very limited. It appears like the place has run out of funds and is finding it difficult to thrive. Expected so much better from a dune property but was completely let down. Totally spoiled pondi for us in the last few days.

Our stay was fabulous. The hotel is a meticulously renovated 18th century building, providing modern amenities along with the historic french cultural feel. Its an Insta reel lover's dream. The hotel also houses one of the reputed restaurants for Creole cuisine, and the a-la-carte food was divine. The location of the hotel is simply unbeatable. 2 minutes' walk from the promenade beach and bang in the middle of best photogenic locations of Whjitetown. Every café and photography spot is in the walking distance! The staff were extremely polite, helpful, smiling and friendly. A very good option for discerned travelers.

After searching numerous boutique hotel i had find this one. All rooms are unique and experience is beautiful.

The hotel's architecture and furnishing gives a vintage look and is a good change in scene for the eyes if you are looking to take a break from your everyday busy life. However, i noticed that the locks in the door don't function. We arrived quite early and the staff was kind enough to arrange early check-in in one room and later shifted to another, but the locks in the door add no value as the doors still open even if you lock it. We noticed this in 2 rooms

Stayed for 4 days here. The staff was very welcoming and polite. The rooms were clean and themed like 18th century rooms with little bit modern necessities. Only issue would be frequently power cuts at night with generator not really working completely. But got it fixed from day 2 of our stay.

The hotel lacks minimum basic amenities and at that cost the basic amenities are a must. We don't get proper water from the sink tap and we don't have dustbin at-least to throw the tissues in washroom and the water won't drain quickly from the drain canal

Amazing bungalow, with beautiful rooms and pleasant staff! the bungalow is a few 100 mts from the beach.

We enjoyed in hotel. It was nice experience.
